I am not mad at what the rockets are doing right now, but like the rest of the board I will miss dragic. But think about it the suns are using all of there cap money on players who don't deserve the money (Gordon, Beasley and dragic) while the rockets can finally move on and rebuild with plenty of cap space. Next season we will see if all of these mediocre signings by the suns will get them in to the playoffs or will they end up like Detroit.
A team with a bunch of high potential players. Also they don't even have Gordon so don't count that as a W for them.
Well, without a Howard type of player the best we can expect to be is Denver Nuggets. That's not shooting for the 'ship so I'm not too worried about it. Suns definitely didn't get substantially better while they have used up all their cap space. It makes me wonder what they plan to do about Brooks now though...
The Suns haven't come close to using all of their cap money. The Hornets will match Eric Gordon's max contract, leaving the Suns with a boatload of cap space.
Guys, would yall honestly rather rebuild and wait years to be any good? By then I probably won't even be living in Houston. I honestly don't mind mediocrity as long as we are competitive for playoffs. Once your in the playoffs you have got a shot, anything can happen.
Why is Gordon going to Phoenix? New Orleans has said they plan to match. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nba--e...-match.html;_ylt=AizFdY3TgpuOSnXk_CO8nz.8vLYF
Teams with superstars run the show in the playoffs. I'm not saying if we make the playoffs we don't a chance but i'm saying do you think the Rockets can beat OKC in a 7 game series.
Its not likely but it's possible. The Rockets competed with and beat good teams without Lowry or Martin throughout this season. They beat OKC once and one of the other two games were extremely close. I'm just saying I would rather make a shot for playoffs then just tank and rebuild.
I would rather rebuild. If you are talking about the NFL or MLB then yeah. You have a legit shot no matter the seed. The NBA ain't like that. You build up a powerhouse team and you try to win multiple rings. Not just one. Most of the teams that don't go back to back at the very least are easily forgotten in the NBA. Dynasties rule. Dominance rules. You don't even have much of a shot without a superstar.
