I couldn't care less that he got a tribute. Just seems like they're lessening a "tribute's" true value. Pretty much that means anyone can get a tribute these days I guess.

I love Chuck. Great guy, serviceable player. Got the most out of the little talent he had. Great story. But when I think of players being awarded tributes, I think of Hakeem, Clyde, Barkley, Yao, et cetera. Chuck Hayes is far, far down the list.

And yes, I do hate those videos during timeouts too. But Rockets marketing has never really been on top of its game, so it's whatever.

Chuck Hayes is the one and only undrafted guy that gets a tribute. And it will stay that way for a long time.

    Nice find.
Chuck Hayes has a lot of heart in Houston. Be healthy and good luck down the track, Chuckwagon.

There are superstars who hurt their own teams and upset the fans...
And there are horrible players like Chuck who are willing to help the team to succeed...

Its not like they held a half-time ceremony for him, like they did for Hakeem or like the Bulls did for Jordan. It's just a simple video played during a timeout. You're making way too big a deal about it.

It's sort of a reality check of the state of the Rockets. A role player on a bad team gets a tribute video. It's depressing that I was really waiting to see this video. And, Chuck was one of if not my favorite players in recent years.

We should be talking about him as a fan favorite bench player, not the heart and soul of our defense and team chemistry for years.

Agree with this. I think it says a lot about the state of our team.

I would trade Thabeet, Hill, and cash for Hayes in a second.

Chuck Hayes is a special player, and a special person.

I pity you If you don't think he deserves this video, and all of our respect.

It has been a priviledge to watch Chuck all these years...

The nuances of the game are not apparent to everyone, evidenced by this thread.

Seriously, it’s not like the Rockets retired his jersey or anything; they just showed a bit of well-deserved appreciation.

The Rockets get bashed for treating their players like assets, but then when they do stuff like this they get bashed too. There’s no winning with people.

PLz Landry shuld be a starter n our current squad. Send Scola to the bench and Landry should also be the finisher i the 4th quarter
