Yes, but I can see the posters point. It's not just about which package of players are the better players. It's cap implications, where NYK are with regard to whether they want to get better anyway, etc.
Whether Gordon or Kanter has higher trade value is really hard to tell. But there are 2 things we know for sure: 1. Kanter is younger. 2. His contract is shorter. Melo's value plummeted because of his NTC. He's still a good player.
I've said many times that pick and pop between CP and Melo is lethal because of Melo's ability to put the ball on the floor and attack the basket. All Ryno does are standing outside the 3 point line, pump fake and give the ball right back to CP.
Based on veteran careers, it's a pretty safe bet. We're not talking about guys who have had 1 injury season...Gordon has played over 70 games his rookie season and now last year. He's nearing 30. Same with Ryno-2 seasons over 70 games in his entire career which includes barely getting 72 last season. 60 games is a regular for these 2. CP3 misses 20 or so games every few seasons as well.
you could of said that last year and would of obviously been easily wrong. this year im not expecting any different especially with a deeper team
Good? Yes. Great? No. His decline will only continue. Let's keep it real, Melo had the impact of a slightly above average player last season. He didn't have the impact of a star, but had star numbers because of his high usage rate and the fact that he got to take around 19 shots a game. He had below average efficiency, and his defense was terrible. I really wanted him here, but only at a certain price. Melo's value also plummeted because he's no longer the player he used to be. Is Melo even that much better than Wade now?
So tilman wasnt there because the sale isnt official yet. I waiting to hear him interviewed about owning the team.
Since it was bumped last year. Looking forward to seeing the new team, anyone have some dates this time around?
