Shocked that Machado went undrafted. You'd think a distributor like him (9.9 assists per game, #1 in the Division I last year) would at least be picked up in the second round. Amazing coup if we sign him. As someone said, it's like having a free draft pick.

Yeah, he said he wants to play if they would have him. The article I recall was him saying he'd go, but there was no quotes about the team's plans to invite him.

more no named assets up for trading? Can we get a person on this team people know? Other teams like pacers are going after established players and we go after dleague material.

We're in the process of resigning Goran Dragic, we're heavily pursuing Eric Gordon, already signed Omer Asik, AND we're still trying to trade for Dwight Howard. Is that good enough for ya?

Uh, you don't really understand how summer league teams work, do ya?

You bring in a bunch of guys who aren't on normal NBA rosters and give them a shot to show what they have while playing with 1st and 2nd year players that are already on your roster.

Very few of them end up on any NBA roster after summer league.

We should bring over Jesse Sanders, who is a better prospect than Machado IMO.

    http://www.wset.com/story/18886644/libertys-jesse-sanders-signs-to-play-in-italy

"Sanders remains active in preparation for his journey to Italy. The Sugar Land, Texas native is currently participating in workouts with the Dallas Mavericks and the Houston Rockets in hopes of receiving an invite to the 2012 NBA Summer League."

"Sanders closed out the 2011-12 season No. 3 in the country in assists with 8.0 per game. In addition to leading the Big South in helpers, Sanders finished fifth in rebounds (7.8 rpg) and 21st in scoring (12.5 ppg). With his performance on the year, the floor general garnered his second consecutive first team Big South All-Conference honor. During his junior year, Sanders was voted the Big South Player of the Year, earning Associated Press (AP) All-America Honorable Mention."

With similarly great passing skills(his paced adjusted assist rate is even better), He is taller and stronger than Machado and has much better rebounding rate. He also goes to the free throw line more frequently and hustles/defends better. I think we worked him out before draft.

Great to hear we got some decent PGs. Felt that was the only thing our Summer League team was missing.

I actually like Scott Machado. He bring some passing even if he cant add scoring to us. I really hope he works out pretty good. Maybe Morey can hit a few doubles and triples on his draft? Scott Machado is really good at a few things in my view.

    Machado is 6-2 204, and shot .495%/.404%/.811%

I'd say neither of those are "glaring" concerns

A source close to the situation reports that Zoran Dragic has left the Houston Rockets Summer League team for the Dallas Mavericks Summer League team. Dragic will be replaced by Zeremy Lin, younger brother of Jeremy.
