I know you didn't ask me, but I would  I think Rondo is a true stud PG, and a young one too boot. Best passing and defensive PG in NBA. He would be an excellent rebuilding piece.
depends on what the goal is. win next season? take pau. but the rox are rebuilding. we're NOT in win now mode, no matter how much you want to believe we are.
Considering Gasol makes $10 million more per season than Scola I would say that extra 3" isn't worth it. This deal sucks. We want Paul.
actually i would too take Rondo over Pau Gasol because that could entice howard to come to houston... he may not be CP3 but CP3 has stated that he wants to play with Chandler so Howard may have to settle for second-best.
If NO liked our offer the best, then, thoretically, we could consider taking one of the offers they've received for CP3.
Would consider sending Martin, Patterson, Dragic, and picks to NOLA if we got Gasol in return and were able to sign Nene. PG: Lowry/Flynn SG: Lee/Williams SF: Budinger/Morris PF: Nene/Scola C: Gasol/Motiejunas It would be very hard for anyone to match up with our front line. McHale would love that.
I don't think Morey gives Scola and Martin for Gasol. The Rockets have the least insentive to get this deal done, while the Lakers and Hornets are more inclined to get it done since they will be the real winners. Therefore I think Morey will try to lowball everyone.
F all this. I went to Real GM and here is what they got from SI.com {The Lakers are pushing hard to acquire Chris Paul by giving up Pau Gasol. By using Gasol to acquire Paul, they then could deal Andrew Bynum in a package to the Magic for Dwight Howard. A third team could be brought into the mix in the Gasol trade, with the Rockets mentioned as a leading contender.] Don't know how to do the quote thing. My bad.
I don't think CP said anything about wanting to play exclusively with Tyson. Said it just to the Clips and Warriors. I would bet he wants to play with DHow who wouldn't?
No Deal! I really am hoping this trade doesn't go through. i really would hate to lose Luis Scola, Kevin Martin and whoever else is part of this deal. there are other news that Patterson, Lowry, Chase, and another player would be part of the mix to make this happen. if this does happen, i am sure lots of fans will be upset of this deal. lets just see what happens.
I'm thinking..... if Bynum gets hurt as he usually does, the Lakers won't win more games than the Rockets. CP3 hasn't been too healthy lately and Kobe's knees have 20 years of wear and tear( 15 seasons, playoffs and Olympics.) If Lakers flip Bynum for Howard, then its a 3-peat for Lakers.
