@WojYahooNBA: http://t.co/x9CS5JqJ is reporting that the Lakers have pulled out of the trade, which a source in the talks confirms.

Yup... For once we had a chance to make the talent upgrade, the 5 for 2, and David Stern shuts it down...

How crushingly anti-climactic. A destructive part of me just wanted to see a drastic shakedown regardless of value lost and value gained.

I don't know if I have the patience to withstand a whole 'nother ordeal like this one.

The problem is that I have absolutely no idea what Plan B is.

Then wtf are we going to be? We lost Chuck Hayes and have the same squad that got us the 9th seed in the west and 14th pick and a new coach.

We had to have had a plan B that still clears space for Nene! God I hope so!

I'm so apathetic about the NBA after this. This veto stuff is absurd. Now we have a team with no height, no superstar and no direction oh and no starting C (Yay Dalembert!) . Also we have one very disgruntled Kevin Martin. I'll continue to root for the Rockets but Stern is making it hard to root for the NBA.

    Odom for a TPE?

And, yes, PLEASE don't sign Dalembert.

Interesting, do they want this exception and deal Odom to absorb Turk's contract in a Dwight trade?
