It would take the Lakers a whole heck of a lot more than Pau Gasol to get Chris Paul.... It seems that Scola, Martin, Patterson, Budinger These trades don't make sense!!! A lot more pieces have to involved from the Lakers side. Heck if the Lakers can get Chris Paul for Pau Gasol, you have GM of the decade...

As long as they can get a real center, I think this is a good deal. Never was a big fan of Martin. Now with the new rules he will be even worse. I dont like Pau but he is better than Scola.
I guess I would be okay with it if we ended up with: Lowry / Dragic Lee / Williams Morris / Budinger Nene / Patterson Gasol / Hill Thats a pretty solid Center big man rotation. But is Lee/Nene/Gasol better than Martin/Scola/Nene ???
Im cool with gasol if we include scola and keep chuck. Letting chuck walk was cool if we were expecting chandler, but scola and gasol is not a very good defensive front line (just as chuck and chandler is a bad offensive front line). Chuck and pau would be good together and we wouldn't have to worry about getting "punked" down low all season.

Pretty much. LA wins, and Stern gets what he wants. The NBA ratings would be through the roof this season. Morey gets Gasol, and I doubt he wants to risk all of that on a rental. Did you watch any of the games for the last 1.5 seasons?
