How do you know he is whining? Im sure he doesnt want to screw the Hornets like how Lebron did to the Cavs. Im sure he would rather let them get something for him than him just leave like that.
good point, will be interesting to see what Morey does. I really think this Gasol deal is dependent on giving the best offer to Nene.
Him ready to take legal actions show one thing: he wants to play in LA. He wants out of NO as soon as possible. Of course he likes that NO gets something in retung - but in the end it is all about him wanting to play in a big city market with a superstar. That`s whining and that`s trying to bully the team/league to get what you want. Hayes wouldn`t do that, Scola wouldn`t do that - superstars that think they have all the power do that.
I see what u mean, hopefully Morey has a great plan B if both this deal DOES go through and Nene decides against signing here...
Jonathan Feigen @Jonathan_Feigen Jonathan Feigen Still talking to him. RT @WoooPigSooie: @Jonathan_Feigen how are they going to work it out? Did Rox have deal w Nene? Only way made sense.
SeanCablinasian Sean Pendergast Domino's just called and said David Stern cancelled my pizza order. Now what? LakersNation Lakers Nation David Stern doesn't like how players can dictate where they want to play? What is this, 1949? Haha
Yeah NY was his first choice - but they get Chandler and there is no way they get enough capspace to get Paul as well. I am sure LA was his second choice. He wants a big market, a superstar to play with and a chance at the NBA title.
If NBA really blocked this trade, this is just bad for the NBA. I don't like the Gasol trade, but for them to control this is totally wrong. As for Gasol, we will make the Lakers better and the Hornets better. What if Gasol goes down, there goes the season. 4 for 1 is just bad, just ask Ricky Williams and Herschel Walker.
Good point. What is the legal basis for the league buying an NBA team in the first place? Thats a historical precedent by itself, why didn't they just wait for another investor to buy the team , why not just let the free market operate independently instead of tampering it. Thats like a corporation buying shares of its own stock or treasury stock and getting dividends for those shares. Since when did Stern have any "basketball knowledge" to determine whether a trade is feasible or not? Stern probably doesn't even know how to dribble a basketball.
All his stuff is fkn crazy. I go away from the computer and tv, and when I come back, see it's been blocked? I've never seen anything like this.
