This means that the Lakers are getting the Rockets involved then, perhaps the Rockets are trying to work out a deal for Paul by themselves.
This i would do for Gasol. I would actually do Martin and Scola ...but i don't understand how we'd get the salaries to match.
yah screw that..scola and martin for Paul...but not PAU... Would Lowry Lee ??? Pau Deandre Jordan or Dalembert be better than lowry martin ??? Scola and whatever center we can get?
I'll laugh if Morey trades any of Lowry, Martin, or Scola plus picks/prospects for Pau. Talk about going nowhere. The guy just doesn't know what he's doing.
I like this idea if they think they can also bring in Marc Gasol. Those 2 brothers would be a pretty dominant frontcourt.
Why cant we just trade with the Hornets for Chris Paul than and sign Tyson Chandler... Dont understand what Morey is thinking here. Basically you are giving your players to the Hornets if thats the case then trade straight up with New Orleans./ Dont help out Lakers unless they give you Bynum or Kobe
If we lose Martin, then Gasol we are getting the Grizzlies' Gasol and not the Lakers' Gasol. Gasol, like most stars in the NBA, need help to win and Martin will take the scoring pressure off of him like Kobe does in LA. Can't we give up Thabeet, Williams, and picks. Imagine a line up of: Gasol Scola Lee Martin Lowery Still need a piece or two but I can live with that line-up in the 4th quarter of a close game. Good mix of good offense and tough defense.
Lowry/Dragic Lee/T-will Budinger/Morris Patterson/Hayes Gasol/Hill I'm guessing if we get Scola that Morey will match the offer for Chuck (or go all out for Nene or Marc Gasol if possible financially). I hate losing Martin but I like Lee so much that it eases the blow, and we get much better defensively.
Probable plan would be to sign Dalembert/Nene and go to war with great D, size, and playmaking of Gasol/Lowry. Bud would be worst defensive starter (if Lee is at SG) and he wasn't even bad last season, just average. I can deal with that.
I cant see why, or that we should trade for Gasol. If we are trading for him to flip him in another trade, then maybe. We need tough 5's not soft 4's. Either this speculation must be incorrect, or the picture as a whole (all the details in place) make it make sense. Twitter: RT @SpearsNBAYahoo CP3 3-way names are: CP to Lakers, Gasol to HOU & Kevin Martin & Luis Scola & possible picks to Hornets This makes no sense to me
