But that means less playing time for the young guys. You are contradicting yourself. On the one hand, you want to play the young guys more, on the other hand, you prefer keeping two 40 minute veteran starters as opposed to exchanging them for one 40 minute veteran starter.
If this deal doesn't go through based on outside influence, I'm done with the NBA. At least for this season. That's just inexcusable. Would rather spend my time on leagues that aren't that corrupt.
Yeah - but a lot of teams have many "ifs". You don`t win with "ifs". Sure, we could get lucky. But really there is nothing but the projected potential of some players that are already labeled busts. And if they turn out as we hope, we could`ve also just stayed set. One other thing: I remember reading that Memphis is willing to talk to other teams if Marc is asking them to (to get a S&T going). Anyone else read this, or am I desilusional? If they are willing, would we even have enough pieces to offer? Thabeet, PPat and J-Will won`t get it done...
aaww wth??? mark stein ESPN CP3 trade latest: Trade with Lakers will NOT go through Friday and Chris Paul is expected in Hornets camp, according to sources
It's just a quote from this article... http://losangeles.cbslocal.com/2011/07/01/pau-gasol-spain-china-options-if-nba-lockout-continues/
There is one center in this league you can say that is better than Pau Gasol (Dwight Howard). We traded a backup PG (who I actually liked the most) a soft SG, and the most unathletic starting PF in the league for the second best center. We freed up a BOAT LOAD of cap space in the process. The Mavs just won with a soft center and a bunch of role players, why can't we make it work? I know you all would much rather having CP3, LeBron, Dwight, etc. but that was not going to happen. Maybe if we are a hot team by the trade deadline, we could land another star to pair with Gasol and make a run? Maybe we make a playoff run and attract a free agent in the off season? If you really think we just missed our chances because we lost Kevin Martin and Scola then you obviously haven't watched the past few seasons or understand basketball. I am not saying we are a championship contender, but we have something to work with now.
What an emotional roller coaster... Or, in the words of a great philosopher: jordanchill43 Jordan Craig Hill Wats gonna happen?
