What "talent" lol? It's basically a Gasol/Scola swap. Those other players are all filler and have proven nothing thus far. It's not like the Rockets were contenders with "all that talent."

Kevin McHale would actually help Pau's game. Show him how to be tougher down low.

If we're going for Gasol, we do not give up our best player in Lowry to acquire him.

    Not worth it at all.

If we get Pau he's bringing his 4 year deal with him. We aren't rebuilding anymore. We are retooling.

Pau will be the Yao Ming clone.

Some of you are funny guys...you all were willing to pay Nene and slot him in at C but don't think Gasol can play the position? He's played it more often to prove he can play it for the Lakers and his national team while Nene has only played it when his team goes small.

With that said, I think this would give us much needed height. Would we be a contender. Nope. But we'd go back to being a solid 4-7 seed in the west no doubt. If all we are giving up is Scola.

Gasol gives us a lot of things we are missing right now.

As for helping out the Lakers. We're not getting CP3, so lets worry about improving our team in other ways.

It won't be Scola. Why would NO want Scola? It's got to be Lowry and young guys/assets.

Gasol is not a #1 option for a championship team. For a playoff team maybe, but not for a championship. Morey will have to find something else to add to the team.

If the long term goal is championship I'd still prefer tanking this season, but obviously Les doesn't want to.

I think losing Lowry would be a mistake. He's young, and I'd like to see how he performs this year after his fantastic play at the end of last year.

If Lowry is gone and Gasol comes in, say good bye to me being a fan and the hell with Morey.

Hou has what New Orl wants in trade 4 CP: established players (Scola, KMart), youth (Budinger, Patterson), 1st-rnd picks (Own, NYK'12)..

This scares the hell out of me. The only reason I can think of that we'd be included in this trade is that NO wants young talent and useful draft picks, and LA doesn't have any.

In other words, we're probably looking at a situation where we trade our best young prospects and picks (and thus, any chance at making deals later this season) for...Pau Gasol.

    Please, no.
