With the best center, Rockets are still mediocre. In fact, Rockets had the best center plus TMAC, they were still mediocre.

Also, do not overrate the heart of a diva.

The Rockets were not mediocre when T-Mac and Yao were healthy.

I was worried about giving up young players for him...but the offer seems to be slowly shifting from primarily players to primarily picks. We're going to keep more talent this way and it'll soften the blow if DH leaves, which is likely..

This!!!!! Why get a one-year rental, who is also a prima-donna and who doesn't want to be here? Do we have the pieces and coaching to surround him with next year to win a title next year? IMO no. Even Miami didn't win a title in their first year assembled, with the big 3. All you have is a bunch of wishful thinking of what he may do based off of the hypothetical "great time" he may have in Houston. What part of no doesn't Morey understand. Hopefully Morey isn't letting this I have to get a star attitude cause him to make a stupid decision. All that glitters is not gold! This would be fools gold! Don't do it!!

    Serious Question!

At this point, Id love to hear a serious potential offer the Rockets would have on the table - If the Magic just want picks and flexibility what do we offer?

Common sense dictates the Magic have no desire to lose Dwight next summer for a whole lot of nothing, and if they are going to trade him (their likely best choice moving forward) the offer they get will only decline in value as you approach the trade deadline during the season.

    TL;DR

What do we offer Today to the Magic for Dwight, and what do we offer during the eve of the trade deadline for him?

    They were.
They've been mediocre for 15 years. Rockets were never a contender except in the summer talks.

I'd still be willing to deal for him, but in light of recent events I'd significantly lower the offer.

Martin + Scola + ONE rookie (not White) + picks. Nothing more for a rental.

Howard is not coming to Houston. Why would he want to? This team sucks.

That's not even true. We were legit contenders when we had them both.

Ridiculous post is ridiculous. Finishing as a top 10 team in the entire NBA for several years is not mediocre.

I think a sign and trade swap next summer is a real possibility...

    Um no, just no.

The Yao/McGrady Rockets were excellent, specifically in the final year.

That team today would likely be the best team in the league.

Has anyone considered the possibility of him not playing even if he gets traded here?
