I wonder if it this is just a favor from the Les to Yao. It's more for training of a young promising player than him having a realistic shot of making the team or because of Les.

Wu Guanxi is 22 years old center at 6'10" 225lb. He had only played with the Shanghai Sharks for one year, averaging 5.6 points, 4.1 rebound, 0.6 blocks in 12.5 minutes.

Here's press release (in Chinese). http://www.shanghaisharks.cn/news/detail/2038267.html

Wu Guanxi will be attending 'The Skills Factory' in Atlanta for 20 days of special training with 2 of his teammates. After the 20 day training session, he'll be headed to Houston for summer league.

And while I was looking through some Chinese basketball stuff, I found this gem. How have I never heard of this. (Check out the amazing Dwight training montage)

It's a 2011 Sci-fi (imagine Tron meets Basketball) movie with Carmelo, Dwight, and Pippen.

Found an even better trailer here: http://english.cri.cn/7106/2013/11/26/2001s800554.htm

Guys Les is a business man. He makes a lot more money branding to the Chinese than he does to the Americans. I support any Chinese moves Les does because it simply shows how smart he is.

Is Les letting you borrow some of his money?
