I'm actually not okay with Stuckey playing more than 18mpg here. Not buying a fools gold year from the 3. He can protect the ball and can score, but you cant count on him to score consistently. For less than $3.5 playing 18 or less MPG. Sure. More of a Brewer type regular season addition than a playoff difference maker IMO.

He was playing for a team as a backup at min and that team did not make the playoff, and that team is at the east.

He doesn't seem to have much rights to ask for anything at all.

He will be just another Ish Smith V2.0.

"Expected to be interested" aka we'll use you for leverage.

Shams gets his stuff from agents. Stuckey's agent using the Rockets because they have a need at guard. No need for the Rockets to deny their interest, because all it may do is drive up the price on a guy they won't have money to sign anyway (if Llull is coming over).

No if he has another team even if its philly giving him a guaranteed contract he will take it. I dont know who else might wanna sign stuckey. Knicks?
Btw easy to say that about indy when the reason they didnt make the playoffs was an injury to their star . this year depending on free agency they can make them again.

Well the source said "Rockets among teams expected to show interest" don't really know what that means.

It depends on the Llull situation, Stuckey would be a decent stop gap player if Llull doesn't come over or we couldn't find any other trades. So I can see him as a Llull replacement, I don't however, see him as a Beverley replacement.

We can't sign Llull and Stuckey unless Stuckey is trying to take vet min (doubtful). I can see us using part of our MLE on Stuckey, part on KJ as well, and then re-signing Beverley with bird rights though.

If the 76ers, the Knicks and the Rox will offer him the same min contract, there is no reason for him not to come to Houston and at least take a swing to fight for a spot on the 15 men roster.

He need a good performance in a good team and hope some teams will be stupid enough next year to give him a new 3-4 years contract like Jack got couple years ago.

If going to the Knicks or 76ers and just having the kind of stats like Alex Shved did, it will be only worse.

He is a fringe NBA rotation player for a good team at this stage of his career, if he is your starting PG or you need to rely on him to play heavy mins in your rotation, then your team will have big problem.

Why would he not re-sign a contract with Indy?
There seems to be mutual interest...

Yes but you said he will have to fight for the last spot. I said if he has another suitor who offers him a contract completely guaranteed he will take it even if its philly.

The more people on this team that can dribble, the better.

I dont know. Maybe i remember it wrong what i read lol sorry. If there is mutual interest then one would have to think he will resign there. They dont have any cap to make other acquisitions. Anyway..its stuckey. No big deal. Llull is a much bigger priority.

The Rockets gave a fully guaranteed min contract to Ish Smith and Jeff Adrien also last year and cut them both in the training camp.

Yes and he would choose the team who doesnt cut him but actually guarantees him that he will make the roster. Contract being equal.

STOP GAP FOR WHO??? We only draft forwards and centers in Round 1 and point guards in Round 2. We sign and trade for scrub point guards, HOW DO WE GET A LEGIT POINT GUARD ON THIS ROSTER?????

    Really?

Did you check what happened to Ish Smith last year?

Training camp got cut by the Rox, signed with Thunder, then got cut, and then signed with 76ers.

Why the hell is he keep trying after got cut by the Rockets?

And somehow you believe players will want to have a guarantee roster spot in the 76ers or the Knicks rather than fighting for a spot in a good playoff team?

Rather sign CJ Watson, 3&D back-up PG for the right price (if Beverley is gone).
