Doc rocket, we need you here now and put an end to this madness. Chris Broussard is trolling us again. First it was Bynum, now this.
Anyone remember Run TMC (Tim, Mitch, Chris)? Similar idea, but only Harden is efficient scoring machine. Gordon number scare hell out me. TS% had drop every year since rookie year. 5 years in roll!!!! http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/g/gordoer01.html Lin jury is still out on him. I would give through next year see can raise TS% to very good 57% otherwise I would be incline to trade him going into his 3rd year.
Yeah, if you distributed the combined 96 minutes of the back court about evenly to the three guys, each would get 32 minutes. That's starter minutes. If you consider that Gordon has an injury history, and a small ball lineup with all three on the floor every now and then, the PT might be bumped up to the 36-minutes range for all three of them.
I don't like the sound of this at all. Gordon is a great player but I don't see how the line-ups work. Moreover, his contract still has 3 more years at ~$15 million with the last year being a player option - player option on a guy with a bad injury history - I don't see how Morey would do this at all.
the only way I see this being a Morey move is if Gordon is a piece he wants to use in a future trade. No way does he believe Harden and Gordon work together... I don't buy that. I would think he is a good trade piece though [but I would rather have a 3 team deal where Gordon ends up with the 3rd team haha]
I can't believe I didn't guess this. EGO... And codman posted something about Lil Wayne. I knew he was from New Orleans, but since I wasn't latched onto the idea of Eric Gordon, I didn't put 2 and 2 together. Don't see what we have for New Orleans other than Parsons or Lin. We have plenty of power forwards but one can say N.O. is set at that spot for the next, oh, fifteen years (unless they sometimes want to shift The Brow to the 5). I guess you can offer Asik too but we'd be sucking until the offseason when we'd replace him. Three-team trade scenarios? Go to the Random Trade Thread, everybody, let's see'em.
Terrible. We don't need another scoring guard we are set and the minutes allocation would be a disaster and out defense, ya I'm not even gonna go there.
Mehh. : | Not interested. If "we" don't want injury prone Howard or Bynum, we definitely don't want injury prone Gordon!
Fans are going to hate me for saying this but, healthy Gordon is not much worse than Harden, Harden is DAMN good , but Gordon isn't far off. That being said I would rather work on upgrading the 4.
So is the game of basketball played with 3 balls now? Because this trade makes no sense for the rockets.
He could play the point with Harden being a play-making 2-guard. Gordon's defense is being severely under-rated IMO. When healthy I've seen him stop quicker point guards and bigger shooting guards.
