You'd actually have to cut TWO players in order to take in Brewer and Turiaf. They can then cut Turiaf, but they first have to make room on the roster.
Then we would have C Howard/Black PF motiejunas/dorsey/tjones SF Ariza/ Kpaps/garcia SG harden/brewer/Johnson/daniels PG dragic/ beverley
Rondo has more rep from NBA fans, but every GM knows Dragic is the much better player. If using the TPE: Try NOP first, NYK 2nd rounder for Dragic If no TPE: NOP pick NYK 2nd Rounder K-Pap C. Capela J. Terry Then use TPE to acquire Brewer
No, Dallas gave up more. Brandon Wright is a very good young player who has a more established game than Canaan does right now. Wright is going to be better than Jones or D-Mo. Besides, I don't see why we should be concerned with Dragic at this point. Bev/Cannaan is a good combo plate at PG, good enough to get us a ship. Our biggest weakness right now is lack of frontcourt depth, specifically a guy who can make FT's and hit mid-range shots and help spread the floor for Dwight and protect Dwight when the other team is in the penalty.
You gotta be ****ting me. Wright is not better than Terrence Jones or Dmo. Please shut your ass up with that fake ass information. Do you even watch basketball you fool?
So there isnt any speculations of Morey striking back at Cuban by bringing in Dragic? Does anyone know atleast a little bit of Moreys plan?!
Wright is not that young, he is 27. And to say he has more upside than DMO and Tjones is insane. He has been in the league for 7-8 years. But Dallas did give up more than we would for Dragic or Rhondo.
1. We don't even know if T-Jones will ever play again, and if he does will he be the same player he use to be? He's only played 3 or 4 games this entire season. If he does come back, will he stay back or go on IR again? 2. D-Mo is playing very well right now, but it's early and not many teams are use to seeing him play the number of minutes and with the confidence he's playing with right now. He's like a young hitter in baseball whose having a break out year but come next year after pitchers have better analyzed his hot zones he may not be the same guy. His game is limited, he features a hook shot and that is it. Wright can do a lot of things, he's been the 6th man energizer for Dallas on the bench but he has the length and athletic talent and range to be an effect player who will have a bulk more minutes playing on a talent hungry Celtics team. He can block shots, get out and run the break and rebound. Have you looked at his per 36 minute averages? Their insane. He's shooting almost 75% and blocking 3 shots per game. His minutes in Dallas were limited because of Dirk.
I know everyone wants dragic but has there been ANy ACTUAL talk about him being available? I haven't heard anything. I would be happy with Brewer, adds depth that we need. I don't feel like we need any huge moves to contend. I think we are for real right now, but small depth moves can't hurt at all.
Just talk about him wanting to test the market this summer and will consider the Rockets, as opposed to when he was a FA with us and he was all about wanting to stay here. Also, yesterday Stein stated we preferred Dragic to Rondo, implying he is at least on our radar. And if you believe any of our 'insiders', we definitely want him. cyberx even said so. With his public statements of his displeasure of the PG situation in Phoenix earlier in the season, his limited minutes, and their record, it would make sense to speculate a move.
Wright is a useful player, but D-Mo is not limited to a jump hook. He can score with the up and under, and he can use either hand. He has improved as a defender. He is even starting to shoot the ball better.
Good defenders won't give up the up and under to this guy, he's not even as good as Scola was at showcasing this. I like D-Mo, but he has a long way to go. We are asking him to do more now than we ever have and he's doing it but its not sustainable. Soon teams will start to ice him out and throw defenders at him who are more comfortable and patient. D-Mo is a turning into a serviceable big but he has a long way to go, imo.
