This would be an okay pick up but the Rox really need big men help. Something else has to be in the works to shore up the front court.

hell no, that could be a lottery pick the way the west is stacked (or if a NO player got injured)

We can prob get him for a conditional 2nd, which is all we should be looking to give up

Great move. We need a guy with size who can play SG when Harden is out.

Also, this will keep him from dropping 50 on us. Similar to the Jason Terry move.

Brewer only has D, career 30% 3pt shooter.

Trade would make sense, and I don't think we'd be moving either Kpap or Motie, I just think it would just move them both down a position.

    Beverley, Canaan
    Harden, Terry
    Ariza, Brewer
    Jones, Papanikolaou
    Howard, Motiejunas

Back up C problem solved, added more defensive depth on the wings.

he would be a great addition IF we don't have to give up any players
he would really give harden a lot of rest, seeing as garcia/daniels aren't doing much (maybe one of them is packaged..troy?!!)

brewer gives us 3 and D to back up harden and ariza, and maybe we can delegate more duty for pap to play back up 4.

but i would dread brewer going to the cavs...the klove-brewer connection would be another offensive weapon..

i think morey's got to work his magic here!

He has this year, and a player option for next year which he certainly will most likely take.

both years right under 5 mil per.

I don't think the Rockets would be too worried about his salary though. But its important though if they think he's going to pick up his option and they find out they really need the cap space this summer, to preserve any and all valuable trade assets to get him just in case they need it later on to shed salary on a whim.

we could have great defense at all 5 positions when harden is resting
    dmo/dwight/ariza/brewer/bev would be awesome!

I'm all for it if they just want some expirings and a second rounder. Might be able to give Harden more rest with Brewer as backup

Morey won't touch him with that PO but he will help facilitate a trade.

If we knew he was declining the PO I think he'd be more likely to be acquired like Terry with the thought that his salary could help matching purposes later on down the line for a February trade. I just really don't know. Is he viewed around the league as someone that will get another mid level deal is he opts out and resigns a new deal? Not sure. I'd assume most GM's would look at him as a two year deal & not sure if they'd be able to use his salary in a deal later on.
