Let's stop with the Pozingas, Durant and Garnett comparisons.... and think more along the lines of Steve Novak, Channing Frye and Matt Bullard.

    No it wouldn't be.

There is a chance that he becomes a rotation player for the Rockets over the next two years. He obviously needs to be able to shoot and pass well.... but he also needs to play passable defense and rebound well enough. I think defensively he will struggle badly as a Manx defender, but may be able to make some of that up blocking shots and closing on the weak side.

If he's Channing Frye this will be amazing.

I'm just gonna assume he's a nobody until he can at least be good enough to get spot minutes in the rotation first. Not much to speculate til we see how he develops over the season.

As a contributor I'd be happy if he gets to Channing Frye level. But as a player prototype he fits a Porzingis mold more because of the shot blocking. Doesn't mean he will ever be nearly as good, just a similar player type/skill set.

Channing Frye stands out among those 3, althought the shooting was nice.

I can't wait for real competition. The guys in Summer League and Dleague are usually shorter but still sturdy.

    Porzingis vs Markkanen vs Zhou

Chaning Frye for a 2nd round pick sounds great. Frye who tries hard on D and rebounding sounds exactly what the Rockets need out of their stretch PF.

I wouldn't want him to attempt to block shots because his body is really thin, I mean sure he can bulk up but to bulk up enough to block the shots of NBA players that might be too much weight for his body to handle. Rather than attempting blocking shots I would just like him to play positional defense and just bother guys with his long arms, he should leave the shot blocking to athletic freaks like Capela.

I think the best model for him is Pau Gasol. That guy is a very complete offensive player but he is also a passable defender and rebounder because he maximizes his height and length.

Interesting to note that he is almost just as long as Yao even though 5" shorter
