Kobe won't pass any torch willingly. He's too arrogant to give up the spotlight.

I think if their is any sg that Kobe would pass the torch to it is James Harden. Kobe's mentioned not only tonight but a handful of times he likes watching Harden play. He's also said that Hareden is one of the biggest competitors in the league.

Harden has alot of talent and Kobe know that. He also plays the game a little like Kobe, harden himself has always shown alot of respect for Kobe and says he takes things from his game.

All in all I know they both have alot of respect for each other and our both two of the biggest gamers in the entire league.

 

Im sure that growing up in Cali, James Idolized Kobe...so the respect thing is more of admiration. Harden has a long way to go before he could ever be compared to Bryant.

Also just as a side note...Harden needed one more patch(sixth man of the year??)
