So what about when people with hazy memories say when the 95 team won?
"well Jordan, never played that year", you have to tell them, Remember #45? Remember Chicago vs Orlando?

I believe 97 is another team that's getting lost.

So why did we lose to Utah? or do you not remember?

The team definitely had star power but you have to remember that even though still somewhat dominant, Hakeem, Barkley and Clyde were old. They got a lot done that season and in my mind, they were never a disappointment.

I mean reaching the championship round is pretty damn impressive.

do you remember the Rockets point guards?

do you ever wonder why most Rocket fans HATE the Utah Jazz?
(the Yao/Tmac playoff loses were not the genesis of this)

do you remember why we got Barkley?

tons of questions are answered because of this team.

Ah. Got it. Thanks for that. So tinman falls into the "slower people in the group" category. Makes sense now. I apologize for trying to get the thread moved. I didn't read that part about slow people. Carry on.

Man, all you gotta know is Tinman is the greatest troll this board has ever seen. The best trolls are the ones that don't seem trolls. He never fails to get a response out of people.

Sure, he is self-deluded and has no moral compass, but that doesn't stop him from being an amazing troll.

yeah but we beat them in the playoffs before. This was when the dirty Utah plays screwed us over when it mattered.

That was one of the most exciting/sad seasons. The Stockton dagger was heartbreaking, the EJ buzzer beater was amazing, beating the Sonics was amazing...

I remember taping that entire Jazz series hoping to win tickets from 104.1 because we couldn't really afford tickets back then.

Its always good to relive the past teams and pay homage.

remember we had a heated rival called the Seattle Sonics, now that history is gone. Nobody hates Oklahoma City the team.

Like MJ sang " Do you remember the time?"

Man the West was unreal in those days.

Maybe it didn't have the talent that it has right now, but those games were grueling to the human body.

    Great stuff.

I hated the Sonics with a passion, shawn kemp when he would pound his chest after a dunk, Gary Payton with his smacking, and Detlef Schrempf with his damn shots!!

i loved the intro (all of NBC's intros back then) to game 6 v. the jazz that year. pumped me up big time before that game.

anyways, we need to bring NBA back to NBC.
