Rockets held semi serious talks at the deadline last year for a Capela and DeAndre Jordan swap

    It was not a swap.

Deandre is dumb but he is definitely a larger defensive presence. Who do you think players are more afraid of deandre jordan or Capella? It's like the difference between running into or pushing back an ol' texas oak tree vs a twig.

Bricklayer at the free throw line, maybe?

Anyway, trade would've helped us last year, but going forward I think we're better off with Capela taking potential growth and salary into account. Deandre is paid and will continue to get paid more than Capela. And despite his size and athleticism he's not the defensive presence that someone like Gobert is. Teams take it inside against the Clippers all the time. He's not even that good of a post defender! His main advantage over Clint is his ability to play 30+ minutes with no drop off. For someone looking for 30+ million I expect more skills than that.

No I'd rather not. Can't go through anymore free throw woes. It was enough for me with Dwight to not want to resign him.

Seeing what we did to Charlotte with hack-a-dwight was painful to watch. I do not miss goin through that and don't want to anytime soon.

Morey always seems to offer huge trade assets for a player he could have just drafted. Joey dorsey really

His shitty free throw shooting is the reason I'm glad this didn't go down. He is so unreliable that he just isn't worth playing down the stretch.

Trades are discussed all the time. Nothing new, I bet Morey shot it down.

Plenty of teams miss out on 2nd round picks who turn up huge and every team has found a 2nd round pick gem of their own once in awhile

Well this is a sign that says Capella is a movable piece and he may be starting as our center now, but he might not be by the end of this season. I like Capella and he has alot of potential, but we need someone ready to help us win now and can create for themselves in the front court.

I cant see Morey maxing him out so he might be moved for the right deal.

Clint and rights to Llull/Gentile (Cuban loves his Euros) for Nerlens Noel and a protected first. Make it happen Morey.

Coming from someone who used to watch a lot of Clippers games...DeAndre is so much better than Clint on defense it's not even funny. Offensively, it's a wash (Clint not being a huge liability at the line is big though), but defensively DJ is on a different level.
