Relax guys, Tyreke wouldn't be staying here, he would head out to Orlando for Howard, Atlanta for Smith, or some other trade. Tyreke is just another T-Will and Morey won't make the same mistake twice.

    Exactly.

    Although I like Morey's wheeling....AND his dealing.

    YEEEESSSS!!!

awww =( Were just gonna trade both for Dwight. I'm still of the mind that we can't do enough to keep him here so i'd rather build this way. Tyreke is top 5 talent that can turn things around with proper coaching and a top 5 pick is a top 5 pick!

Sigh, if Sacramento says no, I'll be sad that we didn't get the #5.
If Sacramento says yes, I'll be sad we traded for Evans.

On the Tyreke Evans thread I basically bashed Evans to no end. But I will say that if that's the deal offered, I'd take it because of the lack of cost. While I still have huge questions to Evans' ability to become a team player, at the cost of basically pick 16(I feel Lowry+14=5) I'm good with it.

That would be really bad for Sacramento. This has little chance of happening.

If there's a way to keep Evans while keeping the 5th pick for Dwight, I'm all in for this. People forget Evans was ROY.

I am really curious what evens can do in a different situation. i'm not a fan because he appears to have no position in the NBA, but the taletn is undeniable. i wonder if we could find a way to use him in a way which really show-cases his strengths.

personally, i like him at the 3 position, even though i know many would disagree.

it's tough to evaluate this proposal. lowry's performance in the past shows he should be worth a 1st round pick, maybe high first round pick around 10th. it means we give up a 3 first round picks to get a #5 pick plus a low iq and selfish player. but #5 pick is very attractive and could land us a franchise player in this draft.

I thought players you trade for, couldn't be trade right away unless it was a trade by themselves?

oh yeah also here is a problem as well

    you get Tyreke

he plays either PG or SG

at SG - you have Martin and Lee (if neither are moved)
at PG - you have to still re-sign Dragic and what does it do to his willingness to comeback if the Rockets trade for a guy who likes to have the ball in his hands a lot and played PG as well?

I don't like Tyreke, but he's not too bad of a poison pill for the number 5!

Hell yea. The #5 pick alone is worth Lowry.

They want out of his contract though, right? This is a dump for them, and they get a starting PG out of the deal in Lowry...and 2 picks.

We had to trade Rudy Gay to get rid of Swift's contract for Battier.

This deal makes a lot of sense for all parties.

If we're just trading him to Orlando, fine. If he's supposed to stay in Houston... not so pleased.
