Carmelo can be a huge blessing, IF he plays Within the System. He really played for himself in ISO, with Mike DAntoni Carmelo ignored his plays. Carmelo has no choice but to buy in, play Fast paced, Run to the Corner for a 3 point shot, late in the season and Playoffs Games will slow down. He will get ISO plays late in the series. In Games against the Warriors, Harden, Paul were playing heavy ISO. The Weakness the Rockets have are in midrange and low post shots. Carmelo is that strength, he is the master of midrange and low post game.

Too many people here are worried about name recognition and PPG. We had one of the best offenses in NBA history with Ariza and Luc playing SF, we don't need explosive scorers.

Nah, more of the Ariza mold. I remember him playing for the hornets. He was a solid player.

 

If Mike DAntoni can turn Raja Bell, Shawn Marion, Joe Johnson left for Big Payday with Hawks, Trevor Ariza have high pay days. Anything Mike does turns these players into Gold in his Offense.
