Lebron or no Lebron, you don't trade Ryan Anderson for ass and throw away a shot at our championship THIS YEAR.

As much as I'm not a fan of Anderson, I agree that if we can't get a game changer meaning in rebounds or blocked shots, then I say we keep him. If he's on he can be a game changer.

After reading your posts in this thread, I agree that Anderson for other small non-expiring easier to trade contracts would make an offseason Lebron acquisition much easier. My thought was always signing LBJ as a free agent, so we are forced to dumped everyone besides Harden, Paul, and Capella, which means who have to live with min role players. In your way, we can at least keep one of EG and Ariza.

I wouldn’t expect any trade to be reported or completed until thursday, with our back to back coming up. Don’t want to have to sit anyone out.

Ryan still commands respect at the 3 that only Gordon/CP/Harden can replicate. Teams are going to live with Ariza/Moute/Green/Tucker launching. Are we going to get another 3 pt shooter?

Who can replace his production and gravity that can be had without sacrificing a 4/5 spot rotation player? Not willing to trade him for peanuts just to have a more manageable shot at Lebron in the off season.

This has been the case for a while. Not stressing if he’s moved or not. A confident Ryno is an asset in the playoffs

Right. Would be hard to replace 10ppg, a few boards and putrid defense.

    Brutal slump Ryno=Not important

Trading Anderson for hope at LBJ is silly. We have a legit shot at a title this year. If they trade Anderson they better be getting back a piece

He's finally rewarding D'Antoni's idiotic faith in him... He can be a major key in beating GS and SA.. I wish he would pump fake and attack the rim more.. Draw some fouls..

If we don’t have Ryan Anderson last year our record would not have been as good and we wouldn’t have gotten Chris Paul, plain and simple. He’s a big reason why our offense is soo deadly even if he’s just standing around.

Only thing bad is his contract is too much but it’s not like it’s the worst contract in the league like the media made it out to be. I’m still at a loss for words on why the Knicks settled for Kanter, his contract is worse in my opinion.

doesn’t change the fact that he is grossly overpaid and that contract is terrible

it’s pretty clear why the Knicks chose Kanter over Ryno...Kanter has 1 year less on his deal and doesn’t play the same position as Porzingis

    Zach Lowe:

As the trade deadline approaches, executives across the league are using the same word to describe the market: "clogged." As in: clogged with available players no one wants for the desired price, and clogged with bloated long-term salaries -- stinky leftovers from the 2016 cap spike -- no one wants at (almost) any price.

Derrick Favors is a useful bellwether. He is a good player on an expiring $12 million contract, and very much on the market, according to several league sources and prior reports. In past financial crunches, a team in Utah's situation could have extracted a ton of value by peddling a decent-sized expiring contract.

The model was simple: You need payroll relief, and we have a solid player on an expiring contract. Rent Favors, and send us a good player on a long-term deal -- plus a draft pick for our trouble. Utah is not a free-agent destination, so snagging a starter on a long-term contract in exchange for a guy walking out the door could be a win -- free agency via trade.

Then you scan the pile of available guys on long-term deals and realize: There might not be a single one the Jazz want. Ditto for Dallas (sitting on $13 million in cap space), Phoenix ($10 million), or any team dangling a big expiring contract. Who wants any of the multiyear, eight-figure deals clogging cap sheets in Portland, Milwaukee, Charlotte, Miami, and elsewhere? The summer of 2016 warped everything.

Exactly. You can't replace him easily and maintain our current dynamic.

how dare you disrespect the greatest floor spacing big man of all time. HOW DARE YOU! HOW CAN YOU LIVE WITH YOURSELF?

HE SPACES THE FLOOR! BETTER THAN ANYONE IN THE LEAGUE NOT NAMED STEPHENIE CURRY!

HE MAKES MORE MONEY THAN YOU!

HE'S BETTER AT LIFE THAN YOU!

    HE OWNS YOU!

you best take back what you said or else.

LOL we had 55 wins because of MVP Harden not because of 20m 1/5th of the cap 2nd highest paid player Ryno. If Al Horford signed as 2nd highest paid player we would have been closer to 60 wins than 55

and lets not fool ourselves Cp3 didn't come because of 55 wins.. he came here because of Harden. he could have gone to a 61 win team but he didn't

cp3 wanted to play with a younger elite playmaker goat scorer version of himself because of his age he can't carry a team offensively 30+ minutes all by himself

but Morey should use your selling point. "Ryno can get your team 55 wins and get you cp3 or a cp3 calibre player." Not sure why no one's falling for it though

Of course the Rockets are "quietly" shopping Ryan Anderson - that's been the case for a year.

He is unmovable. The Rockets couldn't give him away to the Knicks. You couldn't give him away to anyone.
