I would go with steve francis just cuz it looks better when short guys dunk (spud webb).

Let's not forget Chuck Hayes was in the All Senior Dunk Contest in 05 :)

Stevie would win it. In his prime, he had unbelievable hops and could stay in the air forever. I think Clyde would give him a good contest and so would TMac and Von.

Also, don't forget Kenny Smith was 2nd in the dunk contest in his prime.

TMAC wins this one. TMAC wins any show.

    in real games, Landry.

T-mac wins this one hands down. Wafer is nowhere near his abilities (Sorry Von but it's the truth). Although as I'm typing this, to argue otherwise, Von is not yet or still far from his prime so we should not compare him and also Landry to the others.

I'm amenable that Barry can also win this one because he dunked from the free throw line and also over a sedan ( If I remember correctly :) ).

Michael Jordan is the best because he creates in his element and hammers the rock down to earth.

Still going with past and present, Steve came in second to Vince in 2000 with T-Mac at 3rd (he did score 99 in first round to SF3s 95). 2000 had to be one of the best dunk contests of this generation.

Brent Barry won in 1996 against Finley, Greg Minor, Stackhouse, Doug Christie, and Darrell Armstrong. Not very steep competition. IIRC, Armstrong actually laid the ball in the basket.

if in there prime...SF3 would win. In the 2000 dunk contest he would have won if it wasn't for Vince and if it was any other dunk contest he would have won.

Chuck was in a dunk contest? I can't, won't, believe it till I see the video. Its like the loch ness monster or bigfoot. I always thought chuck could barely touch the rim. HAHA.
My pick is Kenny the Jet Smith who also won a dunk contest cause he was the most creative.

Bob Sura was in the contest in 97 I believe. Not saying he would win though.

    McGrady
    Drexler/Francis
    Barry
    Wafer/Snyder

    Forwards:
    Swift
    Barkley
    Horry
    Landry
    Dorsey

If Drexler had more creativity he'd be top 5 All Time.
It'da been fun to see Barkley in a contest at his jumping peak.
Wafer and Snyder will always be linked. I actually think Wafer 2nd to Lebron in a contest is better than Barry's win. But Wafer got badly teabagged in a game by Snyder, and let the rim block his dunk earlier this year, 1 too many bad dunk memories

Dorsey and Landry both have the strength, but I think they're lacking in the creativity dept. Barry is the exact opposite. I think McGrady wins this one.

You have Stromile Swift and Weatherspoon in there, but no Robert Horry or (even more obvious) Akeem Olajuwon??

I guess everyone remembers Hakeem and forgot about Akeem.

Was Hakeem ever in the dunk contest?

He has powerful dunks, but a dunk contest scenario with three dunks?

Steve wins it hands out if everyone is included

Tmac is good, everyone praises him about his 41inch and his long arms, but his dunk contest dunks are really below par from my point of view.

VC had arguably the greatest dunk contest performance ever. EVER. I think you need to look at the overall body of work. Head to head, Franchise and T-mac would destroy Barry.

IMO self-lobs near the hoop aren't as good as the ones where you run up with it....
