I think it is pretty clear that he does not want to stay here. Money is not the only factor that he considers.
That would mean paying him $11-$12 million in some years, not worth it. If the Rockets offer starts at $8 million then I'm going guess the annual increase is somewhat low.
SMH at all of you who say that $10MM for dragic is ludicrous, but $8MM+ for omer asik is fine, because morey says so.
Ummm Lowry was borderline all star last year dude? A number of teams would love to have a PG like Lowry on board. Just cos Goran is efficient and a better shooter doesn't make him worth $4mil more then Lowry is on. $1 for $1 if you have to chose $6mil Lowry or $10mil Dragic I'm picking Lowry. If Dragic won't meet us halfway then seeya
Morey counted his chickens before they were hatched Now we lose 2 potential All-Star PG's for nothing
Both offers are ridiculous..... yet understandable if you view them as future Top 30 players...... yet I cannot Dragic can do it but I don't think he is a traditional PG to begin with
Good - let other teams have Kyle then. And Dragic is worth whatever the market bares, just like Kyle was when he was a free agent. DD
LMAO at the gloom and doom in here if this is true. That is only $2M/yr off from Dragic's starting offer. With mutual interest, they aren't that far off at all, and a deal should get done. All the "return unlikely" simply posturing.
Also its a PG league now, so many PG's are being drafted more and more now Its actually harder to find a 7 footer that can actually play basketball( so thats why they are worth more). Asik's deal will pale in comparison to what Javale Mcgee will probably get( he's dumb as rocks, but can play somewhat.. with nice potential).
