I get nervous when we try to get a player from the worst team in the NBA.

I guess I probably shouldn't since we got Barry and Wesley.

But it still just makes me shiver.

There is more reason why a bad team would dump older vets like Barry and Wesley. A young player makes me worry more.

Bogans shares many of the same strengths as Sura. He's a tough, effective player with decent all-around game. He's not the greatest shooter in the world be let's be serious here, a potential SG under 30-years of age and over 6'3"?!?!?!

So Rockets IS getting younger. That's good news. I just wonder whether the players already knew who would be traded and that led to their lack-of-effort tonight.

More like bigger david wesley no handle solid defence but can shoot it perfect fit. We should have gotten him in the t-mac trade he may make wesley expendable but he is out till march 1.
    I like this move

So this move is for next season? I mean it always take players some time to learn JVG's defense system, not to mention he will have to get back into game shape first. Is he injury-prone? We don't need players injury-prone since we have had enough.

“Keith is the type of player who fits right into our philosophy of having long athletes who can play multiple positions and are strong defenders. He is versatile enough to guard opposing point guards or swingmen with equal success and has really worked on improving his offensive game.” - BERNIE BICKERSTAFF

I may be missing something, but did we sign Baxter for the rest of the season (like Hayes)?

If we didnt, isn't he a free agent after his 2nd 10 day contract expires?

Or is this more about the Bobcats, getting rid of a guaranteed contract?

The Charlotte Bobcats are close to a deal that would swap shooting guard Keith Bogans to the Houston Rockets for former Maryland center Lonny Baxter, an NBA source confirmed.
The deal, which could be consummated today, would fill coach-general manager Bernie Bickerstaff's intent to find an extra rebounder, while Emeka Okafor and Gerald Wallace recover from injuries.
Baxter, 6-foot-8, averages 3.6 points and 2.7 rebounds this season.
He played extensively of late while center Yao Ming recovered from foot surgery.
The Bobcats have a crowd at shooting guard with rookie Raymond Felton starting, plus Kareem Rush, Bogans and Matt Carroll.
Bickerstaff said several times recently that he'd like to swap one of those guards for a big man.
Bogans has missed the past nine games with a sprained knee.
He's been medically cleared to play, but sat out last night's victory against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Looks like he can play NOW!!!

This is as pathetic as the teams performance last night; just what the Rockets need, another guard who can't shoot. Are the Rocket's really committed to making this team better or getting "cheap" deals? You know, if they don't care, why should we?

I like this move a lot, especially since we're only giving up Lonny. Bogans is athletic, and will help with our team speed and shooting (Can't get any worse anyways, right?)
