Wow, that's some news! So if he wouldn't have been cut, then someone else was in line to be cut. Wonder who?
Most teams didn't have the space or an exception to submit a claim for him in the first place. His contract also would have become guaranteed in October, before teams could get a good look at him. And he isn't eligible to play in the post-season because he was waived after March 1. It's not surprising that he wasn't claimed, but I'd be surprised if he wasn't on a team next year.
I hope Denver get hartenstein. Hartenstein can learn with Nikola jokic and 'coach of the year',Mike malone!
There’s plenty of teams that did. It doesn’t have to be all. There’s plenty of teams sitting at home for a reason who can get a look at him. There’s no rule saying he can’t play basketball right now just like So many other players have been for weeks. From now until oct is a ton of time to get a “look” Teams pick up guys off that all the time if they truly have potential etc. It didn’t stop other teams from picking up other players who were just waived. I wasn’t surprised he didn’t get claimed bc he just doesnt have much value at all. Especially not as much as some people here want to believe. Just another name added to the list
I guess danuel house gonna get money intended for hartenstein. I figured Austin Rivers get cut before Hartenstein! Any east coast team would win by signing g hartenstein, Brooklyn, new York, Boston , Charlotte, Chicago,Cleveland, etc.
lol that’s what ive been talking about. What exactly is moreys legacy? And why aren’t more people challenging his decision making?
I would support waiving hartenstein only if they intend to give danuel house the entire contract that was negotiated for hartenstein.
This is silly and easy to counter. Maybe a thing to consider is the fact that sports and entertainment aren't really a priority at the moment and only proven players are getting picked up for an already limited capacity. Heck they might even cancel the season novelty with the way things are going..
This isn’t a counter, especially when other guys have been picked up by teams who aren’t even going to Orlando. Another post that shows you’re incredibly misinformed
Nwaba isn’t a turd at all. If he can return to form at all after injury then this is a good pickup...i do hate that we cut harty but I guess he asked to be let go. now if you’re saying nwaba is a giant turd because he won’t play this year, yeah that sucks. But it’s worth it to sign him now dirt cheap in hopes he comes back healthy. He can be a huge plus for us defensively
Meh. Him not getting picked up during the middle of pandemic, during a weird reduced season, amid a lot of uncertainty isn't really telling one way or the other.
tells plenty, especially when it's a non guaranteed deal that doesn't become guaranteed til oct. plenty of time to get a look in a span of 3 months on whether you still want to keep him on a incredibly cheap deal. But nah, teams passed on it.
