Probably should have Ron on there even if it was only one year. None of those other guys would have made it out of the first round without him (technically speaking of course).
Essentially the 08-09 roster being honored. Man, what I would pay to see them play rather than the players we currently have on the roster (aside from Dragic, Parsons, and Scola).
I still think it's really dumb that Scola made it when he only played 2 seasons in that decade. Should have been Mobley.
Francis and T-Mac have a lot of haters, but to me this was pretty open and shut. I guess some people would rather Mobley go instead of Battier, with T-Mac as a 3. But this is exactly the way i, and most people had it.
This is the perfect all-decade team. I will always remember these years with these guys. Sad to think that actually all 5 of these guys were on the same Rockets team at one point.
true that...but if yao and tmac were healthy..with battier and scola in the line up and francis back up pg...that would have been sick. our best team -- a team that if healthy would have competed for a championship: Yao Scola Artest/Battier Tmac Brooks TOO ****ING SICK UGH I WANT TO CRY
Yao --> Camby Scola --> older Scola Artest/Battier --> Parsons/Budinger Tmac --> Courtney Lee/Kmart Brooks --> Dragic/Lowry Downgraded majorly in basically every position besides PG. time to rid of scola/martin and any other assets needed so that we can truly start rebuilding.
Count me as one of those people. Mobley was a lethal shooter/scorer. He averaged close to 20 ppg. Battier provided a lot of intangibles, but I'd take a Mobley/Mcgrady at the 2/3 spots over Mcgrady/Battier any day.
And again complete failure, no Mutombo, seriously??? Francis & T-mac was expected but do not deserve it. Francis maybe, but Mobley not being in over T-mac is ridiculous.
this vote was not for the best players in each position for the decade..its the team of the decade, the team that left us with the most memories, the team and players whose jerseys we woudl want to retire here in houston. Personally for me...battier meant more to the rockets this decade than mobley did. battier was the leader and heart/soul of this team.
I just realized the ceremony may simply be Francis by himself lol....Tmac and Battier certainly won't be here. Is Yao still in Houston? I would imagine Scola would rather warm up for the game.
