Markieff Morris is an idiot but dude would make a lot of sense for the Rockets style of play.

Looney is a very good team defender and would definitely help the team defensively if healthy but might present some fit problems on offense.

Baynes would be a great fit.

You know what is interesting about that data, though? Of the five most productive lineups, all five include Sabonis and only two include Turner. That's a pretty telling statistic right there if you wanted to know which center was more valuable.

That would be freaky if we ended up with Bell and Looney. Those two done some stomping on us in the playoffs for the Dubs. Could do worse than their energy in a small ball lineup.

I always had the idea that Turner is overrated cause he's a great shot blocker and a lot of people thinks blocking shots means defense. He also looked kinda soft in different games i saw him play. Regardless, Sabonis is outplaying him big time.

I'm my reading of sportrac is correct (and it's probably not), then Orlando and Miami are the two EC teams over the cap. I doubt Miami trades with us, so Orlando it is! Khem Birch, Amelie Jefferson? Birch would be ok, Jefferson doesn't really play. If they want to dump a bad contract on us and give us someone better then that's fine with me.

Koq anybody? He hasn't been utilized well by Philly but I bet Hou could stroke him.

5th team should/could be the Clips!!!

It would be wild if Rockets swung trade to bring home Trez.

Locckerroom distractions plus coveting yet another 3-D forward has the Clips reportedly dangling Harrell as trade piece. Clips also looking for another big like Dieng or maybe Len.

Bring the Monstrez home Morey, you know you loved him!!!

capela wasn't a good fit because you're paying him 15 mil to be your starting center in big minutes.

Looney gets paid pennies and doesn't require big minutes who can provide similar production when called upon. that's the difference when the rockets aren't trying to play a ton of meaningful minutes with a traditional C anymore

That has to be Doug McDermott, no?

I would be elated if we finally received a sharp shooting wing player like Doug, but I doubt anything like that happens. We typically don't have pure shooters that come to our team and succeed.

Plus Capella was a much better rim runner, rebounder and rim protector.

The primary reason for Looney over Capella is - cost. Looney probably gives you 50% of Capella's value at a fraction of the cost. Furthermore if you add in the addition of Covington it'd make more sense.

He is on a good cheap contract and is their only real center, makes no sense that GS would just give him to us, not buying this one at all despite liking him quite a bit for the role

If the warriors trade him they would avoid the repeater tax.
