You had me at post #1,000 -- Why wouldn't I still be a hater after #84,000? And by the way, the line to the right is full - might as well start a new one.
What? Attack Morey....No, fail to get on your knees and properly worship Morey's every move & the haters will strike!
Marc Stein @ESPNSteinLine Sources w/knowledge of New York's thinking say Knicks were leaning strongly toward releasing Lin before his breakout game last SAT vs. Nets wow
Makes this story all the more fun, this is the kind of thing that makes sports so interesting - a guy comes out of nowhere, and has an amazing start to his career Fascinating stuff. DD
The Rockets had a shortened training camp and very little practice time. What makes you think that Lin showed enough in practice to suggest he was capable of these sort of games? It seems like a big assumption on your part.
Are you honestly going to argue that the Rockets did not see Lin was a talented player? Even after your boy Morey just said he regrets letting him go? Come on Durv, it may be an assumption on my part but it is a fairly small one, they knew, they made the decision to keep the contracts over Lin. And now they are regretting it, it was a mistake, there are no excuses allowed in this business, they blew it here. DD
Appreciate it guys, I have no issue with people not liking my posts. Do What came in and gave a little jab, that is all good.....but that other guy - now on ignore - was way over the top. Appreciate the support. DD
Now back on topic......I understand the Rox decision, but I really believe that it should be a meritocracy, you keep the best players. And if Morey is not able to flip the 09ers, then it will be compounded as a failure....as they will have let a starting caliber PG go for nothing. Not good for our team, IMO. DD
Quit arguing! Just be happy for Jeremy Lin! We already have two awesome point guards stop being so greedy! This was his destiny.
Agreed about the Mom thing -- no place for it. As for calling out the Rockets for cutting him, I am glad they did because it allows Lin to showcase his talents. If not, he would be riding the bench and may have never had the opportunity. Remember, every team in the association had a chance to sign the kid -- At least the Rockets were one of the teams to look at him a little closer prior to letting him go.
Regardless if he stayed he would be behind Lowry and prob not see the production he is now. The only thing that bums me is I hope morey has made sure to check if there are any sleepers on the bench. I'd be pissed if any other person riding the pine gets traded and makes us look stupid again.
