    Jones Officially Added to Rockets

    Second year small forward Bobby Jones flew to Houston today to officially join the Rockets. He becomes the 15th call-up of the current D-League season, and the fourth to join an NBA team as a direct result of trade deadline movement. The 37th pick in the 2006 NBA draft, Jones spent a handful of games on assignment in the D-League his rookie season. He was traded to Denver in the 2007 offseason, and also spent time with the Memphis Grizzlies after the Nuggets released him. After signing a D-League contract, Jones joined the Sioux Falls Skyforce, where he only played 2 games, averaging 8.0 points and 3.5 rebounds. The former Washington Husky became known primarily for his defensive ability, but must continue to work on his overall offensive game and outside shooting stroke specifically to stick in the NBA for the long term.


    Does that mean we are out of the Brent Barry sweepstakes? His decision was supposed to come today. Im surprised nothing was mentioned in the Chron or here.

    He said he'll decide on Phoenix today. He still has another 2 weeks of rehab.

    Bobby Jones is just insurance. 10 days and you can decide not to extend his contract. Same as the Charles Oakley contract. We can still get Barry.

    That signing doesnt make sense anymore with Bobby Jackson. We dont need a fourth PG when we are hurting for a bigger SG other then Tmac.

    It certainly sounds like no Barry...unless there is an SF3 buy-out (and re-signing to vet min this summer)?

    BB's leg issues made me wonder if he'll be able to significantly contribute this season anyway?

    How many players on the alotted roster of the 15 do we have now? I thought we only had 13 so we could sign on 2 people.
