    It was good enough for Phil Jackson. He gave books to his players all the time.

    I think they will ask a rook to read it and give them a book report.

    Since Kostas and Capela are not native English speakers, I think that task will fall to Nick Johnson LOL

    I can imagine McHale rolling his eyes. "WHAT? You expect them to be tough from reading a book?"

    It worked well for Lin, Howard, and Beverly... it didn't seem to have any effect on Harden, however...

    Now, what could be the difference between those three and Harden..... hmm... that's a toughy...

    An older retired athlete speaking often goes in one ear and out the other. And even if it doesn't, it may motivate you for one game. However, reading a book will stick with you longer.

    And a coach can always reference parts of the book throughout the season to keep it fresh in their minds.
