Losing Melton? We tried Chriss and Knight and it didn’t pay off. But in Melton’s last 8 games his season high was 4 points. And that’s in a lot more minutes than he would have gotten here. Let’s not act like we lost a contributor let alone a sure thing.

 

You don't know if we lost a contributor or not. And i expected nothing from a trade involving Ryan cause i always knew he was going to be a brick on our flexibility the moment we signed him. With that said i don't know how well Melton would've played here, but we still lost at least an asset to swap Anderson with another Anderson if we can't move at least Chriss for something decent.

 

I'm okay with giving up a first rounder as long as we get the Grizzlies' second rounder this year

I am curious if the Grizzlies will trade away talent with the Parsons Contract.
Jevon Carter of the Grizzlies I am really impressed with, Jevon dives hard on the floor and knows how to play smart defense, plus can shoot the 3, didn't stat pad for a layup in the end passed it up for a teammate, it was against the Hornets today. His defense on Harden at Memphis was impressive also.

I'd rather have Holiday than Temple. Temple is a better passer, but Holiday a better rebounder. Holiday is probably a better shooter - he hit 36% of 7 attempts while glued to the corner in Chicago. He's not playing well at all in Memphis during this brief stint.

But the big advantage of Green/Holiday over Green/Temple is that - not only are they expiring - but it shaves about $3m off our salary THIS season (Temple makes more $ than Holiday), which I think would incentivize Morey to sign more buyout/Vipers players.

If you add Deandre Jordan and Wesley Matthews, it's an unfathomable amount of depth for a great team. In earnest, adding House alone to that roster as backup 3 is enough to actually contend. That would be so much wing depth and length to throw at Durant/Thompson while Gordon and Paul can contain Curry.
