Don't get the Josh Smith love. Yes, he's a great athlete, but this many years in the league and he still hasn't learned the most effective way to play the game and spends too much time on the perimeter. I hope the Rockets pass.

I don't think that Smith is a Morey type player offensively, but I think he could be defensively, and that is an area of great need for us.

He is also a name and I think having names is a good thing for us. If we could dump Lin's salary in a trade for him, I think that gives you the best chance at bringing in Howard in the offseason. You would have to SnT Asik, and the Lakers have to play ball, but it is big payoff.

No question he's lacking in BBIQ. I think he does enough things well to compensate, but he will never be a "great" player. I'd still grab him for a playoff-run if the price was right though.

He's an upgrade at the 4 for sure but not necessarily a move in & by itself that puts us over the top. He runs so it would absolutely be a fun team to watch even above the current squad.

The only thing I question is whether he can stretch the floor enough to keep the paint open given his inability to hit the long J consistently.

Smith, Milsap, Gortat... I'll take any of 'em for a pupu platter that includes any of the following: PPat, MMo, Aldrich, and TJones OR DMo plus a second round pick or something...Royce if they want him....toss in TD if necessary....

defense, dunks, passes, steals, rebounds well, and shoots well when he skips out on the jumper. he has 3 point range but he isn't needed for that.

this is the guy who can finish on PnR for us. He can give us some interior defense that we badly need. BADLY. His scoring will keep defenses a bit more honest which opens things up for lin and harden.

I mean, right now, how many of our players can both score & rebound?

It's funny cuz most of u guys would go crazy if we traded for Blake Griffin, when Josh Smith is basically the same player with better defense, Griffin is just more flashy

and 27 is old? Many people probably would hate this, so i'm prepared to get flamed for it

    trade
    Asik, Patterson, Douglas

    For Smith

Sign Howard in the Offseason, and Boom!!

    Lob city south
