I don't think Carl meant to hurt Asian sentiments, but I do agree he should have shown sensitivity here. That's why I agreed that it should be reported. I don't mean to hurt anyone. If anyone is offended by my comments, I'm truly sorry.

To go undrafted and get a solid role player with even the slightest of all-star potentional would be a steal in this scenario.

Doesn't necessarily have to break any sort of rankings list in my book.

saleem bro... we live in a highly sensitive world right now. We can demonize people who say things we don't like and see where that goes, we can examine what is said and try to meditate on the purpose of the words that were used, or we can let it go.

The world rights movement is happening, but we don't have to blindly follow every notion. In the end we will look bad at it and see that the movement was far from perfect. That's why I appreciate the nature of your post here, but I'd ask you if things like this should be reported or is it just hypersensitivity to an otherwise innocuous comment? In other words, is the hypersensitive person actually that offended or just acting sensitive to start a social war that divides us?

Personally I think we should seek to find friendliness in our own nature and not focus on the outward action and words of others at this juncture. The finger pointing has already led to a backfire society that's rewarding insensitivity at the highest level.

Your points show great insight and thought. Let's assume someone genuinely got offended, and had no reason to provoke anyone here. I do agree entirely with you that we should seek friendliness in our actions. I admit I reported the post with some reluctance. I never thought that Carl meant to hurt anyone, and I tried to explain that in my previous post and added an apology on my part to anyone on my behalf. Charity starts at home. I will try not to get hypersensitive. I truly want happiness for everyone.
Thanks again, for your wisdom and kindness.

According to this guy, we signed 2 of the top 7 UDFAs...

    7. Trevon Duval (Duke, PG, Freshman)

    1. [IMG]
      Julie Jacobson/Associated Press
Final mock draft prediction: No. 52

Current status: Houston Rockets, summer league

Once the nation's top high school point guard, Trevon Duval has suddenly become college basketball's next undrafted freshman.

Length, athleticism and passing weren't enough to interest any team Thursday night. Duval's troubles scoring and shooting proved to be too problematic for NBA evaluators.

But he's also 19 years old with impressive tools and speed, and he still averaged 5.6 assists per game, showing the ability to break down defenses and find teammates. He ranked in the 95th percentile as a pick-and-roll passer.

The window isn't closed on Duval, though he must improve his jump shot and his one-on-one shot creation.

He'll get his first crack at making a roster with the Houston Rockets, per Charania.

    5. Gary Clark (Cincinnati, PF, Senior)

    1. [IMG]
      Frederick Breedon/Getty Images
Final mock draft prediction: No. 56

Current status: Houston Rockets, two-way contract

The fact that Gary Clark turns 24 years old in November didn't bode well for his draft stock. He's also undersized (6'8") for a player whose game mirrors a center in today's NBA.

The right team may be able to get something out of him, though. The AAC Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year, Clark made a tremendous impact without needing to score. And that's what his calling would be in the pros.

Per 40 minutes, he averaged 12.2 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.7 blocks. He's tough on the interior, but he also showed some improved shooting touch last season, having made 27 of 62 threes and 74.1 percent of his free throws.

Playing to his strengths as a defensive specialist and hustler now and a potential shooter down the road, Clark could have a chance to stick in a supporting role. His first opportunity will come with the Houston Rockets, per ESPN's Chris Haynes.

He’s a bit of a similar mold to Melton. Elite athleticism, solid point guard starter kit, upper tier defensive potential (Melton is more proven as a disruptive). Their nba careers will be defined by how well they learn to shoot.

At least we'll have something to watch for in Summer League, a little more than last year's debacle.

“I Like the rest of our picks” equals doom and gloom?

It seems like a lot of people are thinking he can be what he was in high school. He’s a superior athlete but he’s a really bad basketball player and I’ve thought that for a while.

He’s worth the risk it’s not like we spent a pick on him... just stating my opinion.

He can’t shoot, he doesn’t have a good feel for the game and he’s not a great creator either

One of his best games last season came against KU in the Elite 8

Notice how his shot looks here and compare it to how he was shooting at the beginning of the season. It's way more fluid and I believe his shot will improve even further at the pro level. Really think he can be an impact player for us after a year or two in the G league or possibly even sooner.

I agree that Duval’s shot improved as the season went on. Ducal probably should have stayed another year if he wanted to get drafted in the first round.

Getting a training camp invite and spending camp learning what it takes to be a NBA point guard will really help Duval’s career trajectory. Hopefully he figure it out in the G League.

Lowry is another PG who learned to shoot while in the NBA.

Just so I'm clear, we don't have him on a two-way contract or anything; any team can snatch him up after summer league, right?

Yes, but that could change during/after free agency

Looks like he is already an NBA player minus a 3pt shot. Feels like the team has become comfortable betting on our ability to teach shooting, which is good.

This guy won't see the court this season, but if we sign him up then I could see him being a useful player in 2 years.

Lowry averaged 25% from 3 his first 5 years in the nba. I couldn't agree more; you can teach shooting. Technique and practice can get you a long way. Defense is harder to teach. court-vision and bbIQ is harder to teach. I like this philosophy.

That sounds like a player that gets drafted in the second round, if not the first.

One game but he belongs in the NBA. Hope Morey doesn’t let him slip away.

(He made all his threes and free throws too)

I like em! You’re not the best ranked guard in the country (number three overall), start for Duke and forget how to play.

Cut MCW and add Duvall to the squad!

Duvall looks more comfortable then some of the players that have been around the league for a while. I def like what I saw
