yea if it's just a straight Scola trade without Lowry or Martin I think the Rockets just go for a money saving move. If we can throw Lowry in there then I think the Rockets might be albe to pull something off for a fairly good player.

    Don't see it.

I'm fairly certain that Lowry alone is more valuable than Iggy, considering he's much cheaper, young and the production of the two is fairly similar.

Also, Philly has Holiday and Brand. Why trade for Lowry and Scola (even though it would be quite good value IMO).

That would be an awesome trade but why would they do that?

Lou Williams (their leading scorer) is a FA and looking for big $. There is room and need for a Lowry. Brand is amnesty candidate.

Luis and Kyle are the only remaining guys from the '09 squad that took LA to 7 in the WC semis. What a team. On paper, it looked unstoppable. Yao in the middle, a couple of lockdown defenders in Battier and Artest, dynamic scoring machine in T-Mac, prime Luis, up-and-comer in AB0. The bench was gritty - Lowry (when he would will his way to the basket), Landry, Wafer, Hayes, Deke.

And... The Fuhrer patrolling the sidelines.

    Great team.

Another possibility: Scola to Milwaukee for Beno Udrih?

Did anyone think they weren't trying to trade him?

I agree, it was a great team. But I guess that it's natural for a team to try to rebuild its roster if things aren't going in the right direction. Too bad the Rockets figured that only now.

If Scola gets traded I wish him well. He is the only true post up player on the team, and he is a leader on the team so it would be interesting who we get back. With stockpiling of power forwards in recent times this comes as no surprise that they are shopping him. Scola, Martin and Lowry are our most valuable "assets".
According to JVG the Rockets are not trying to tank, they trying to stay decent and get better along the way. I am really hoping one of the players we have drafted in last three drafts turns out to be a star.

We all knew this was coming.

    Most expensive player
    Older player
    Production down
Stacked with younger more athletic players at the same position

As much as I love Luis and his Rocket Pride....

He has to go....we need to let the rebuilding process start without him...

If Nash escapes to Toronto or New York, Phoenix is going to come calling for Lowry.

Luis Scola is a consummate professional, and I hope he retires a Rocket.

Lol udrih is a good serviceable back up point guard and is expiring, scola has 3 years left on his contract with 9 mill per year i think.

a day late and a dollar short. Scola, as much as I like the guy, should of been traded last season.

Throw in Jrue or also give them Marcus Morris and take back Evan Turner = deal.
