He traveled. Wasn't called for it. Lucky kid. Welcome.

Also, did Howard lose someone whose crotch he could grab?

    Getting a rebound isn't traveling

Keep in mind, he played on the 76ers where that **** is encouraged, as I understand it. Hopefully we can correct him a bit.

^ Exactly. He can stop the showboating and help play better defense.
You're right about that. Why do you mention that?

Fine. I'll explain: It's not the rebound, it's the four steps he took BEFORE deliberately throwing the ball to get a rebound.

he is one of the rare sgs who blocks shots. hopefully his on ball defense is good too. but he's not a good shooter. i'd still rather have canaan, even if he didnt have those mini-hot streaks in nov/dec.

he will also take minutes away from kostas, who i think can be a solid backup if he can get some conssitent playing time. thats 4mil rotting on the bench. its not like we only let good shooters into the rotation. he should be playing every single game.

I think this is a good move. Kid shoulda been a first round pick. He can be re-signed for a more cap-friendly contract should Morey trade Ariza or lose Brewer when he goes for one of the Kevins.

And that's it, folks, because this trade deadline proved Morey will not mess with the chance to land Love or Durant.

Are you allowed to throw the ball off the backboard, grab your own rebound and dunk it without landing? -- Blaise Bernie's answer: Yes. Under the traveling rule, a player who attempts a shot or pass may not be the first to touch the ball unless it touches the backboard, rim or another player. Therefore, a player can intentionally pass the ball to himself off the backboard or rim.

don, I don't deny his leaping abilities and good basketball I.Q., or that it was a good resourceful move, but I am saying that the traveled BEFORE throwing the ball. He took four steps before and not even legal in a continuation.

In the case of throwing the ball and hitting nothing, it's a travel violation. If it hits the floor after losing possession and dribbling again, it's a double dribble.

McDaniels is known to be an extremely hard worker. Donatas type work ethic. Humble level headed kid.

As was Kyle Lowry. This kid is 22, on a low-risk potentially high-reward contract, and is an athletic freak plus a monster on the weak side. We traded him for a back-up point guard who did not get playing time despite us being thin at point guard.
