From the Rocket's e-blastoff newsletter: HOUSTON - The Houston Rockets have signed forward/center Anthony “Pig” Miller for the remainder of the season, Executive Vice President of Basketball Carroll Dawson announced today. Miller opened his sixth NBA season when he signed the first of two consecutive 10-day contracts with Houston on Jan 6. The 6-9, 255-pound forward/center is averaging career highs of 4.8 points (on .486 shooting) and 7.0 rebounds in 10 games. Miller has started the past eight games at center for Houston, in which the Rockets have registered a 6-2 record. He has also led the Rockets in rebounding three times, including a season-high 13 rebounds at Golden State on Jan. 13. Miller returned to the Rockets this season after averaging 2.4 points and 2.3 rebounds in 29 regular season games with Houston last year. Before coming to Houston, he played two years for both the L.A. Lakers and Atlanta Hawks.
