Dems actually can feel some sense of relief that at least worst case scenario didn’t happen today which is yeah Trump is a criminal, Senate still won’t impeach, pubic opinion doesn’t move, Trump goes scorched earth, and 2020 Dems have to talk about nothing but Trump for 2 years.

That is when you are arrested, but the judge can only rule you not guilty.

In America, we do not want people to assume just because someone was arrested that they are guilty, that is why innocent until proven guilty is said.

Not just when you are arrested. Most grand jury cases take place before charges have been filed, and someone is arrested. The innocent until proven guilty stipulation still applies.

 

Nah, there were plenty of liberals that didn't care about the Mueller report.

I mean, TYT is a big liberal network and most of them covered it but didn't put much stock in it changing anything.

Pelosi already came out and said she wasn't looking to impeach Trump almost as soon as she took the gavel.

I mean, if you guys want to continue to claim victory go ahead but I really doubt this is going to change people's opinion on Trump.

Probably. People made their minds up on Trump long ago.

But something tells me the liberal news media and Democrats who constantly pushed the "Collusion Narrative" are taking a big L in their reputations and that includes practically all the current Democrats running for President.

 

I think one can obstruct justice (withholding/destroying evidence related to an investigation, etc.) without a finding of a guilt on an underlying crime. The old adage re: the cover-up. Maybe one of our former prosecutors can weigh in?

 

The innocent until guilty is said when arrested. When an officer is making an arrest people tend to think guilty and that is not what is meant. Sometimes people are arrested and everything is cleared up in court (if charged) or during questioning if all parties are willing to discuss the matter.

A judge clearly says not guilty. He never says the word innocence in his ruling.

In this circumstance, not enough evidence was found to prove guilt. Trump was found not guilty. Good for him, but that does not mean he is innocent. Some people think this, some people think that. It is like OJ. Some of us know the truth and are almost certain. But a judge did not find enough evidence to prove him guilty of the accusations (he was never charged), therefore he is clear.
