Enough with the whining and moaning McGrady fans.

Why don't you contribute positively to a thread about one of the greatest Rockets ever, and share us your favourite Robert Horry moment?

All his whining doesn't change facts

In his mind the rockets failed his hero

In reality it is about what the rockets can do together

Robert Horry was well loved by his teammates for every team

His chemistry and mental toughness was crafted in Houston

They have taken up the personilty of one of the greatest losers in the history of the NBA.

So insecure like the player that they came to white Knight McGrady in a Robert Horry thread.

Horry, the guy that was one of the biggest reason we won two championships.

    Sad.

    Truly and utterly sad.

Sad, guess I'll start a thread later today that's dedicated to this offer, so that you hypocrits can't shy away and act like this is all about Horry.

Would be really pathetic to see tinmac not taking my offer, as it would directly show how all his narratives and self-proclaimed missions are fake.

    Ask yourself this question

Are they Rockets fans ? Do they go to games ?
Do they meet other rockets fans?
    Do they understand history?

Everyone who joined when we joined saw that era it wasn't long . It's not like the Hakeem era.

This harden era will be long too.

For someone to have so focus on a failed era shows a lack of appreciation for success

Like the Harden era . It's been great

Don't start a thread for me
Start a thread you think benefits rockets fans

    Not everyone knows about Horry

    Apparently you don't

I've personally met him many times
And told me stories of Clutch City

Have you even met your favorite players?

Allow me to make yet another positive contribution to the thread to drown the whiners and moaners before I start packing for a road trip to Johor and Singapore.

Everyone remembers the "Kiss of death."

But guess who made the daring cross court pass for the money shot?

Helping teams win championships is for the fans
He has helped bring true glory to three franchises

Some poor fans never experienced this feeling

Instead they pretend failure should have been success

Oh trust me I will, and in contrast to you, I can actually provide people with posts where you say you want to erase talk of McGrady and mentions of him.

We'll see whether you're a true fan or total hypocrit.

It goes against we learned about Clutch City

When Dream won the MVP he thank his teammates

    It was on him

    To inspire and lead

Clutch city is so powerful we are still talking about it today

That's so crazy. Got plenty of love for Robert Horry or "Will Smith's clone" as I used to jokingly refer to him as a kid. Helped us to two championships. Guess he caught the championship bug from that.

My Robert Horry remember the moment #3.

    NBA Finals 1995.

    4th quarter.

Robert Horry catches the ball and doesn't even look like he has complete control of the ball and just shoots the 3.

    Money!

Even the ball respects Robert Horry and knows who the master is!

    I already know I'm a pure fan
I joined when Clutch asked for pure fans

Why would I even go on your thread?

I mean at least swwyguy has creativity and humor though being at a kids level

He does what you already do

No need for a cheap and crass imitator

I won't share them but I tell them to Clutchfans in person

    Treasure those moments.

We were some of the lucky ones to actually live the championship years.

I was in NY when Rockets were playing the Knicks in 94 finals.

Myself and my friend the only two Rockets fans, surrounded by Knicks fans as we watched Hakeem, Horry and co. beat their team.

It was like winning the NBA finals in game 7 on your opponent's home court.

    We walked proud that day.

This board is not the same as it was before but there are great fans willing to learn like
    @Mathrocker

I was wrong about him when he first posted but now I know he's a pure fan

He understands rockets history and what makes it great and how we can go forward

There are people who join this site because of one player he joined for the rockets

What I loved about Horry is he is a stretch 4 who played great defense and rebounds some. That is such a rare quality in today's NBA you'd think with how athletic players have become great defense would be a standard part of any player's arsenal but no, majority of stretch PFs suck at D/rebs and are thus massive liabilities when their shot aren't falling.

I think Horry was a Van Gogh, he was just ahead of his time because in his era no one knew the value of 3pointers. He was also a bit of wasted potential because his 3 pt shooting %s were pretty good for most of his career despite taking only a few attempts per game, if he was playing in the modern NBA and allowed to hone his 3 pt shooting he'd hit 40% easily.

Anderson does nothing except shoot 3 pters and he is making 18M a year, Barnes is considered a max guy just for having defense and shooting 3s at around Horry's level. Add Horry's historic clutch reputation and he'd easily make the max in today's NBA and will even be considered a star.

    Good post.

Horry was the king daddy of stretch 4s. His defensive IQ was also very high.
