robin williams fan site article http://www.robin-williams.net/latestnews/2014/0721-no-news-is-good-news-right-not-always.php "After working back-to-back projects, Robin is simply taking the opportunity to fine-tune and focus on his continued commitment, of which he remains extremely proud." Yup, Robin went back to rehab (in Minnesota this time). Not because he relapsed though but to prevent falling off the wagon. We truly hope he's succeeding in his mission and wish him all the best! Robin started his stay, that was planned well in advance, late june and is going to stay up to several weeks.
As we were driving back from soccer practice, my 12 YO daughter lunged out and turned up the radio as she said "Robin Williams is dead? Who's Robin Williams...." She knew that she knew him. "Jumanji," I said. "Oh, yeah..." she said. I remember convulsing with laughter at his HBO stand-up specials in the late 1970s. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M9FMrjDasBk&list=RDFH7crqRvhhc&index=3
man. man was a legend. When you start going down his filmography it's stunning how much he contributed. Lot of Williams movies on Netflix. Going to be doing a lot of rewatching this week.
I had to do a double take when I first read the headline. After I read the details on how it was like a second punch in the gut. He's one of the few actors that really entertained you as a kid and then did work that you respected and enjoyed as an adult. From kids movies to serious drama and even creepy suspense he did it all really well.
This is a tough one. I've watched Robin Williams since Mork and Mindy. He's one of those people that you almost feel like you know because he was in your life so much. RIP.
The thing about Robin Williams is that was often fast and loud, but not really funny, and I loved him anyway. When he was dramatic he often over acted, but he had the guts to try again and again, and take chances many people would never take. Because sometimes he would hit in a way that nobody else but him could do. RIP
Im not a big fan of celebrities. I find most of them pompous. Robin Williams is one of the few that I hate to see go. RIP Robin
3.4% suffer from major depression. That's a lot of people. Hard for me and likely many others to imagine what it's like and how difficult a life it must be. So difficult they see no way out. It seems so out of character for him, but goes to show you, anyone, at any time. Hopefully one day this genetic mapping will allow for individual treatment since it appears that everyone reacts so differently to each treatment.

Damn.... I saw him live at the laugh factory in Hollywood 3 maybe 4 years ago. It was crazy he just showed up out of no where and booted the person on stage and started cracking jokes like he ran the place. I will never forget this comedy show even more so now.
