The cave has to be handled with kid gloves, that's why it takes so much time too.

They can't call Morey ignorant or a liar and say they disagree with his tweet and he can't outright admit that he was wrong, because that will anger american fans.

None of that places money over the values the United States has fought to protect.

People have given their lives serving this nation to protect those values. It would be disgraceful to sell those values for some money.

No because he has over 10X the net worth of Tilman. Buying the Clippers is more like a trophy for him, not a major business investment he needs to profit from like with Tilman.

Tilman is screwed. To get the Chinese market back he obviously needs to let Morey go but that will be a major PR issue in the US. Either way the Rockets are going to lose money but if he boots Morey he’s going to have issues from now on.

As other people have said, the NBA really should step in on this and imo should back Pro-democracy.

I wonder if the Rockets have some kind of cultural training for their employees on how to handle themselves with foreign countries. Most corporations that do significant business with Far East Asian or Middle East countries do.

Pop or Kerr not kissing Trump's ass won't cost them their jobs. The NBA and its fan base leans mostly liberal, so if anything that plays to their base. At the end of the day the most important thing to people is their ability to take care of themselves and their family, morals come after that.

When there is a violent riot in a country, it usually means a Corrupt Government. People want resignation from the President or Prime Minister.

The whole nations Citizens are always the decision makers.

Taking care of your family and putting bread on the table doesn't mean you have to sell your soul to the devil for more dollars.

    its probably the opposite tbh.
i imagine this really hurts harden and westbrook since they are stars that get pushed in china.

shitty situation all around and chinese money will likely win out.

It might even been taken advantage of as a distraction from Trump's scandals.

So if Trump insist the NBA champ must visit the White House or he will suspend the league.

Do you actually believe Pop, Kerr or even Silver will cave in?or there will be cities in riots?

Obviously no one will go to the streets in America to go riots over a tweet for some matters not directly happening at here, but regardless you are a liberal or conservative, I don’t believe there will be even a small group of people afraid of this kind of bullying here in America.

Considering firing, I would sue Rockets if I was Morey. That’s just discrimination because of his beliefs(right ones may i say). Firing over something like this is against law i believe

We’re learning that our favorite team is just another multinational corporation about to outsource another high-paying job.

    Nope.

At-will, discrimination only protects race, gender, etc. No NBA GM union.

    If he's gone, he's gone.
