any guard that is allowed to be guarded by bench players below the free throw line is not anyone taking any teams to the next level nor will they be winning very many games playing with that person

Yep guys like rubio or rondo are terrible fits and are better at college/international ball than the modern 3 point happy nba.

Cant play the 1 and not be able to shoot. Especially next to harden

When people were calling him the best pf in the league in minny i thought was pretty ridiculous. now that he went to a winning team we realize he's a 3rd option or below on a winning team and even then definitely shows he can struggle at times. solid player but not someone you build around if you're trying to win.

When you are good, teams will build around you. Rubio is not that type of player and has done jack **** in this league to convince anyone that matters that he is that type of player. Not saying he isn't a good PG (because he is), just that the league has passed him by and left him choking in the dust.

Green can actually shoot for a big man. He shoots better than Rubio in fact.

    Draymond TS .521
    Rubio TS .539

And this after Rubio playing more than half the season out of position.

Draymond's role, now that the Warriors have three primary scorers in their starting line-up, is to be the glue guy. He takes less shots and he gets worse shots. But his assists are up. Green is more the Rubio/Battier glue guy than ever before.

They're the same type player. Defend and facilitate. Green the better rebounder because of the position he plays on the floor. Rubio the better distributor because of the position he plays on the floor.

Yet every team wants Draymond Green and no one really wants Rubio.

Bricky is always on the trading block.

    Has he been traded yet?

Maybe Timberwolves should throw in some picks to get someone to bite.

A pg who can't shoot just makes it harder for everyone to score because opponents can leave you open. So Rubio has a high TS%...big whoop if all he can do is score on layups then it doesn't matter how high his ts is lmao.

Green is not like Rubio at all because Green can shoot 3s. If Green had a broken ass shot like Rubio then he wouldn't be considered a superstar, I doubt he becomes this effective if he can't shoot his 3 pters and mid range shots so comparinf the two of them is dumb because one guy has a working J and the other doesn't.

You can hide Rubio if you have 4 other guys who can shoot but why would you? League has so many complete pgs now its dumb to saddle yourself with a brokeshot pg who isn't athletic enough to get to the basket at will. Despite being a mental midget and liability at everything else Anderson still has supporters because he has gravity which opens up the offense.

Well Rubio has anti gravity, he makes the offense tank because of his broken shot.

Lol at comparing Draymond to rubio. Cmon holic your better than that!

One is defensive ploy candidate and the other is above average to very good.

One can guard multiple positions including centers and the other can guard guards.

One is asked to play extremely off ball and sporadically catch and shoot or pass and the other is asked to control the offense.

Sag off the shooter, you can help the defense by decreasing space and limiting rotation time. Sag off the ball handler and well, it's hard to create an offense other than taking the open shot you suck at.

I hope with all my being that rubio goes to Spurs and cp3 comes to Houston. Ruin them while vaulting us.

Now think about this. Rubio and Green change teams. What do their numbers and efficiency look like?

Rubio at the point with Curry, Klay, KD, and a big lug in the middle. What happens to Rubio's assist numbers? What happens to Rubio's scoring numbers? What happens to Rubio's scoring efficiency?

Now Draymond is out there with Lavine, Wiggins, Rush, and KAT, or whomever you want to take in last year's TWolves squad. What happens to his numbers? Do his assists go up or down? What about his scoring efficiency? Higher or lower?

Let's be real here. If Draymond has been drafted by the TWolves instead of Love, he's still be looking for a playoff birth too.

TWolves are young and have talent. But when you compare their shooters. Their best shooter shooting in an empty gym would have a difficult time coming within ten percentage points of the Warriors fourth best shooter.

You put Rubio on a team with three shooters, another playmaker, and a good finishing and pick setting bigs and he will dominate. He's never had that chance. When he gets it, look out.
