Sorry, but that was worse. Part preacher, part bizarre, part idiot. It was sort of like sitting through an entire Seattle-Miami game and watching every mind-numbingly horrible play when you could have just watched SportsCenter for the highlights, such as they were.

Perry was better off not running at all imo.

I remember back in the old Perry thread, it looked like folks were evenly split between "he'll sweep to the nomination with ease" and "he's going to be exposed as a clown" - I don't know if anybody figured on a meltdown like this, however.

sure- we absolutely can't take seriously candidates who appear under the influence.

I just watched the part where he is stoner-like playing with the syrup bottle.

I bet a handler got fired for letting him appear in such a state.

I would also think that it might affect him in his next run for governor. He obviously has no chance at the GOP nomination.

Can he even run again? Isn't 14 years enough?

Unfortunately, there are no term limits in Texas for the governorship. So, yes, he can run again.

The answer to your second question is no. 1 day was enough. 14 years is just too depressing to think about.

I kind of did, though it happened even quicker than I would have guessed.
