Vlade was a great flopper and passer.

People keep forgetting the goal of this team is not be the best regular season team of all time. we need to use our players wisely.

Part of Yao not being able to get a board over Boozer is that Yao was being used too much in the regular season. Getting out of the post for a bit will help conserve his energy.

Also this is Rick's offense, its gonna take time for the players to get it right.
For the 1995 Rockets, I hear so much naive comments about that team on our regular season record. People forget the trade for Clyde and the loss of Otis caused early growing pains for the Rockets. We had to transition from Max to Clyde and Otis to Horry. Completely different offense with the new players, Otis didn't jack up 3s, Clyde didn't hoist that many 3s. But once they perfected the offense, each player's strengths were fully utilized and we were the rulers.

Once the offense matures and we utilize each players strengths under Adelman, we'll put this 'play Steve more minutes=wins' thing to bed. Its about getting the WHOLE TEAM to play better.

    Wow he's dreamy.... ;)

Love the soft focus on the photo. Unfortunately not a pic to inspire confidence in his leadership though.

Well, since you wanna wait till we get to the finals to praise RA, why not wait till we don't get to the finals to judge what kind of coach he is? One season isn't even complete yet. How do you know we can't win in the playoffs? Like you said regular season doesn't matter, so why do you judge his coaching ability from what you've seen in the regular season.

Very, very very few NBA coaches win titles...so the fact that rick hasn't is hardly an argument against him. The fact that he consistently wins GAMES is what counts. And while it's true that he didn't take the kings to the finals, they would have beat the lakers in their prime (remember how scary shaq was?), and likely gotten a title if not for one total fluke of a horry 3

    True...

JVG in the same situation would just say, 'Hand me a Diet Coke and let's get rolling!!!' - and start the home crowd on a D-fence chant.

What kind of coach he has shown to be is one who has had regular season success, but not post season success. He has never won a championship, and has never even been chosen coach of the year with all of this success he has supposedly had. My point is, we had regular season success with Van Gundy, but the point is to win in the post season. RA hasn't had that, so I'll judge what kind of coach he is by what we do in the post season, if we win, then he's the man, if not then it was pointless to hire him and fire JVG.

It's pointless to play the game without a real hope of winning a championship. If I wanted to just enjoy the game, I'll go play myself, if I'm paying money to see my hometown team play, I want my money to go for something.
