That's exactly what I was thinking. You could argue RG3's situation is very similar to Palmer's. You got to remember the Redskins are a terrible organization with terrible leadership and huge media scrutiny. A change of scenery with a passive low key media may be the key.

Meh. Doesn't excite me too much. Which means he will sign with an AFC team, resurrect his career, and go to five Pro Bowls.

Yes I was concentrating on his raiders years. The cardinals only had to give up a 6th rd pick and a conditional pick to get him.

I think RG3 has something to prove...and he just needs a change of scenery. Now, that shouldnt stop the Texans from pursuing other options, but I think it's worth it to get him into camp and have him compete. It would seem like a low risk, high reward type of move.

Also, there may be other QBs that show up on the market...we'll find that out in a couple months.

The Texans just need to be very aggressive in their pursuit of a QB. We need to go after multiple targets.

Other thing to consider is his family and hangers on, they're very much out of control.

I think BOB and Rick need to sit down with him and the first question they need to ask is "what did you learn from you experience in Washington". If he starts pointing fingers and blaming it all on them then pass and move on to the next scrub FA.

Despite the narrative that the Rams won the trade, the Redskins have been to the playoffs twice since the trade and the Rams have not been to the playoffs at all.

Agreed and that's why I said in another thread I want my owner to call Brees and Stafford's agent(or teams) directly and let them know the Texans interest.

Bob should do the same with RG3, Bradford, Chase Daniel, Osweiler, Cousins, Stanton, or any other QB FA they are interested in. Got to have the owner involved to show the level of seriousness.

This is what we should do.........

Sign him now. Let him workout all off season. Goes thru training camp. Plays till the 4th pre season game & cut him !

Payback for committing to U of H & leaving with Briles.

    :)

Because the Redskins are in the NFC East and the Rams are in the same division with the 49ers, Seahawks, and Cardinals, 3 teams which are/were at one point superbowl contenders since the trade.

Anything is pretty much better than that trash under center this season.

Would be a mistake. He's not starter material, he's a poor mans Michael Vick. We need to draft a QB instead of taking on more scrubs.

Kick the tires on RG3 but still draft a QB in the first 3 rounds regardless.

I think the cowboys make more sense for him. They have a need there. He could backup romo and take over eventually.Unless he was guaranteed the starter spot here I don't see why he would take it.

I think I'd bring in RG3 or bring back Hoyer, with the understanding that they will have to compete with Savage and a rookie for the starting job.

ESPN is pushing the Dallas narrative but I don't see it.

If the Texans offer the same amount as the Cowboys why go there?

You know they love Romo, Romo will be #1...and going to a lesser team.

People trash the Texans but they have been better than the Cowboys for a while now. RG3 can come here, get an elite WR to throw to and a great defense to play for. I mean Dallas just has more needs on their team than the Texans.

It reminds me of the Dwight thing. the Media will be pushing the Dallas narrative when the common sense move for the player is Houston. He'll have no one to compete with and the job will be his to lose.

He'll definitely be the backup in Dallas. He could start in Houston.

I think Dallas will trade for Manziel.

Question is if RGIII has problems grasping complex NFL offensive schemes then how will he fair with BOB's system that Weeden said is like learning Chinese backwards. Seems to be a bad match, but worth a flyer if it's on the cheap.
