zeeshan, when we make it to the next page, post this cool wallpaper? http://cdn.superbwallpapers.com/wallpapers/meme/cool-wallpaper-bro-8914-2560x1600.jpg
He's going to need a lot thicker skin that's for sure. If he's letting them get to him in a preseason game it's going to be a hell of a long year!
First topic of the show- "j.m. is the stripper stuffing dirty dollar bills from long haul truckers in her underwear, that you're trying to make into june cleaver." Idk about the wife analogy, but doesn't look good at this point if all it took was an opponent telling him pros are faster than college players to provoke that reaction during a game.
You can get away with a certain amount of attitude as long as there is NFL talent to go with it, when there is attitude without NFL caliber talent.....well you get JFF.
Its been two games. He's looked good in the first and bad in the second. You were complaining to us about judging Fitz on one preseason game you've pretty much written JFF's entire career out with two of them.
I wrote his career off long before preseason. All of the reasons he'd fail in the NFL were there on the college tape. His field vision is poor, he doesn't know how to make proper reads in coverage even if he manages to see things properly, he's not fast enough to be a scrambler in the NFL and that was most of his value in college, his accuracy on intermediate routes (and even some short routes) is spotty....he's got the hype and nothing more. Some of the plays last night where he was trying to scramble for yards would have been huge gains in college against slower players, but you saw D linemen chasing him down from behind for either a sack or a short gain....that's going to be what kills him because he doesn't have the traditional skills in the pocket.
Less reflective of a healthy swagitude than how easily he can be rattled- did it seem confident? Not so much to me.
Note to self: Do NOT listen to 610 on the way home today. I'm sure Pendergrass will be ALL OVER this "story" (just like I'm sure he dreams about being all over JFF).
The browns receivers are total garbage . JF did make some bad throws but I counted about 4 that should have been caught and his performance would have looked totally different .
Well, to be fair, their QB's are garbage as well, the Browns are one of the only teams in the NFL to make the Texans QB situation look good.
Watched the same game... unless you think receivers should be able to make catches on throws that were behind them, or balls that don't get there in time prior to the defender laying a big hit, I'm not sure I saw much of it being the receivers fault. But yes... I do expect everybody to blame the coaching, then the scheme, then the receivers, then the grass, then the weather, then the uniforms, then the stadium lighting before they acknowledge that some QB's are simply just not as great as they've been portrayed.
Yup that's what you get when you deal with fanboys. I mean the guy who led the league in receiving (and 10th most ever) played into the 4th quarter last night yet the recievers are horrible.
Not to mention, few NFL people would label Gordon and Cameron "garbage." They've had better games, for sure, as neither distinguished themselves last night. But garbage? There are a lot of teams that would line up for those two guys (suspensions aside, of course). Factor in an effective Ben Tate and an OL that contains 2 #1s and 2 #2s... there are QBs in far worse situations, that's for sure...
