He's a damn great basketball player.
But he's still a sociopath, rapist, and egomaniacal douche.

if he was convicted hed serve time, if he got away from crime its the fault of the system

nonetheless i rly dont care how he behaves as a person nor do i have ways of knowing, the flaws i mentioned r bball oriented like being a diva , mean to teammate etc which r well documented

growing up my favorite player was jason kidd, horrible person off court too, but i loved him as a basketaball player

The Lakers are making the right decision handing the team over to Lin and Jesus Christ.

He could have been the only person ever to have 30,000 points and 7,000 assists if he didn't hold the record for most missed shots in NBA history.

    What exactly is he doing?

Not defending and chucking low percentage shots at an amazing level?

Never been a fan of Kobe as a person, but wow, I am a big fan of him as far as work ethic goes.

I think he's the greatest athlete in terms of work ethic. Even better than Watt and Jordan. And work ethic is a lost art nowadays..

Why don't you google "Kobe Bryant apology letter" and read where he admits that the poor teenage girl that he raped did not think that the sex was consentual.

Basketballwise he has not been great for a long time.... He turned into an elite chucker the last years of his career

In fairness, he did that as part of a settlement, not as a real apology.

Great scorer. Not a top 10 player of all time.

Then Kobe would play until he was 50 in order to break MJ's career points total.

That's all he is about. Might be that was all he was EVER about.

Don't care how many points he scores. No sane NBA fan would ever believe Kobe was equal to Jordan.

Not to nitpick, but there are only 6 guys ever who hit that first milestone ... the 30k points... 3 of which are bigs. Of the other two, MJ obviously would have had the 6k assists had he played more ... eg. not retired. Dr. J indeed was not the assist man Kobe was/is.. of course Kobe's career Usage % is way higher than Dr. J's, including having the highest single season usage rate ever... but that doesn't necessarily say he was a ballhog or anything.. great players should have really high usage rates.
