I have a theory on Trump..... I think he's just riding his wave of popularity for as long as it will last. I don't think he has any real desire to win the nomination. He just wanted to get his name out there and add a run for President to his resume. I think he plans on sabotaging his own campaign before it gets too serious, and perhaps this is him starting to do that. I don't think he envisioned himself leading the polls this far into it and he's already planning his exit strategy. Trouble is, it may backfire on him because so many people are taking him seriously and actually agreeing with the silly things he says. Sigh....I remember when it was cool to be a Republican. A more civilized age. Before the dark times. Before the tea party.

I don't think of it as a negative. 1. Ms. Clinton will win 2. No one can deny the absolute absurdity the GOP has devolved into. I thought they couldn't after Palin was actually on a ticket but I guess we didn't bottom out there. What needs to happen is the GOP to split into a Christian Conservative Party and a Conservative Centrist party, I suppose the Democrats could split into Democratic Socialist and Moderate liberal Parties. But people are going to see the GOP is just an astroturf obstructionist party for the 1%. I think Trump knows this and is just trolling his way to a nomination he only intends to exploit. It would be interesting to see how he would choose a VP... politically balanced or supporting celebrity. I'll guess a retired General, Petrus maybe.

I mean this very seriously, though it will sound like a joke. I live in SF. Cruz sets all local gadar going off like crazy, to hear people talk. It is a daily joke. And indeed, he is pretty effeminate in his speech, gesture and delivery. Swishy. There's nothing wrong with that, but I just don't think the nation, and especially not the GOP, is ready to have someone who *seems* so darned homosexual. I think, even if its subconscious, it will cost him votes. Maybe 10-15 years from now, it would be no big deal. I actually believe that he's straight, if that matters to anyone, but he is very effeminate. Again, sexual pref doesn't matter to me a bit, but I think the weird affect will influence enough voters to hurt him.
